There are so many cool, quirky, vintage items scattered throughout the store. And the space is so large and full of rooms that house cool items. It's definitely not a place that you could finish scouring in one hour... but definitely a place you probably have to come back to to find something new each time! I particularly liked being able to shop in peace. I didn't feel like workers were eye-ing me the entire time, and I was able to just enjoy looking through each of the items. I got a cool pair of airplane earrings for $1, while my friend bought a cute, electronic dancing boxing hamster for $4. There is definitely something within a reasonable price range for everybody.

The first stop on a trip is the Parker-French Antique Center and this place is absolutely fantastic. From the outside this place looks pretty smell but the moment you walk in you realize that there's actually a couple of big rooms full of all sorts of antiques, retro toys, war memorabilia, and everything else under the sun. The staff here is super friendly and both my parents and my wife found things that they just needed to add to whatever collection they are working on at the moment, I don't know, my wife is buying a creepy little statue with nuns on it. Overall, this place is definitely going to be on my "must hit up" list whenever I'm visiting my family in New Hampshire. I mean, how can I not hit up a place that has stuff from The Flintstones, WWF, and the Toronto Blue Jays? Although I left empty handed (myself at least).

We were so excited to see that the new manager added some fantastic new booths by opening up the carriage house section which is entered into on the second floor if you follow the entrance sign arrow at the end of the last booth down the hall. We found all of the staff to be super friendly and helpful and even on a hot, busy day, they were available to assist us with questions about items and helped carry our purchases to our car! Would absolutely come back often. It is one of the best antique shops on US1 in maine as far as we are concerned.

Unlike other antique stores, this one does not have any musty/dusty odor. It's very clean, well organized, and while the selection is large, it's not "cluttered". You can find everything from small collectable figurines, to china and crystal stemware, to large furniture. Everything for sale was in great quality. The woman at the front desk was extremely friendly and answered all of our questions - certainly one of the nicest employees I've ever met at an antique store. After browsing the isles, I found a set of green thumbprint goblets, wine glasses and sherbets - all 36 in perfect condition. After a quick call to the dealer, I was offered an even lower price and each glass was wrapped up for safe travel. Before heading there, double check the hours of operation because we were told it was the last day of the season for their store (November 12th). I can't wait to stop back on our next trip to Southern Maine to see what other great finds there are!
