He didn't treat the cut right, just wrapped it and all that just ended up sticking to the wound and it was really painful for my baby to take it later off. When we went to our pediatrician after that, she said that it was all done really bad and just wrong, he obviously didn't know what he is doing or just didn't care at all. I feel bad that our first experience at urgent care went that bad for my child and for me. Only the girls at the front desk were nice and actually felt bad for us and were trying to help. So unlucky and unhappy with this place.

The person who took my call then told me that she does not understand why I was not given a certain type of medicine. So she sent the new prescription. Then came my bill. Within a span of a couple of hours, I get a notification from my credit card company that there is a suspected fraudulent activity on my card. Someone had attempted to charge a plane ticket thru Southwest Airlines. I don't think that someone needs to be a rocket scientist to figure out who was attempting to make that fraudulent charge. Shame on you Mr. Aijaz. And shame on AFC Urgent Care Morton Grove.

The administrative details are handled smoothly (scheduling, insurance, etc). The information provided by the nurse and the doctor made the whole process clear and less stressful. Tho they are busy, no one seemed rushed. Dr. Levy actually looks at you and listens to you and communicates in a kind manner that is understandable. And the procedures (two of them) went just as they predicted. I was anxious about any scarring on my face. Levy heard me and instead of getting defensive, referred me to a colleague (more of a plastic surgeon) who closed up the larger cut. I am cancer free with barely any visible scar. Going back (two years later) for some elective facial laser treatments.

Dr. Young, Leah, and the entire team always listen and treat me with dignity and compassion. I've certainly not been the easiest patient to deal with at times, but their care for me is first rate. I don't really have any big complaints with the physicians themselves. I do, however, have a couple bones to pick with the office staff. With the exception of a few people in the front office, the overall attitude is poor. It seems as though the moral is low, or they don't like each other, and they certainly don't like their patients. One of the women took my co-pay and went to get change. I stood there waiting as I watched her stand in the back for FIVE minutes chatting about nothing. Some of the women are also incredibly rude and insulting when attempting to schedule an appointment or leave a message for your physician. There are two lovely people who handle the admin/reception duties, but they aren't always there. And the lab staff is friendly. Overall excellent physicians with generally crummy staff. Not certain how much longer I want to deal with it.

I…read morebelieve you really need to vibe well with a physician or they really won't be able to truly diagnose/heal you. I have a ton of family and family friends in medicine so there's always a plethora of knowledge around me; and different opinions. I went on my insurance website and took down bios for about 20 doctors. From there, I vetted them by specialty, location and reviews.I wanted someone personable, who I could relate to, and most importantly- someone smart who knew what they were talking about. I found everything and more in Dr. Daniel. Dr. Daniel is not only smart but she's fantastic at explaining the chemical processes going on in your body. She teaches for Swedish Covenant so she's well versed in all the common questions (that her residents have). She also believes firmly in the osteopathic approach to medicine. That pretty much means she believes in the "whole body" approach instead of just focusing on the body as separate organs. She has an open mind and believes with going with what works. Finally she is personable and encouraging. We talked about random stuff and she made me feel so comfortable. Making an appointment was simple and the office did not feel like a typical medical office. It's located at a former office/administrative building so there is a ton of marble and wall sconces. The staff is really nice as well. Dr. Daniel definitely has your back- and everything else as well.

During the appointment, I asked five questions regarding my health concerns; only two were addressed, and the responses provided were brief and insufficient. The examination itself was limited to vital signs. Dr. Szabo then indicated that she would return shortly, but instead a nurse entered the room. I asked the nurse whether Dr. Szabo could return to address my remaining questions, and the nurse stated that she would locate her. After waiting an additional 30 minutes without an update, we left the examination room and observed Dr. Szabo at her workstation. When the nurse again attempted to check whether Dr. Szabo was available, Dr. Szabo screamed/responded harshly that I "was supposed to leave 30 minutes ago." At that point, my remaining questions had still not been addressed, and I left the office without receiving the consultation expected from the visit. Including commute time, the appointment required nearly two hours and concluded without resolution of my medical concerns.
