I met with Todd to go through the design and I was very clear on what I wanted - I asked for as many flowering pink plants as possible, a weed barrier underneath all the planting beds, stones on the side of the house, and a clear path on the all sides of the patio so that my dog can easily access the yard. When I received the initial design NONE of what we discussed was included. He redid the plans and they still weren't what was discussed. I had to remind him FOUR TIMES of my plans. Todd didn't prepare any of the soil so that the plants would thrive in the clay soil, so all of the trees and a large portion of the shrubs that were planted have died. The pink hydrangea that I specifically requested has bloomed white. When it was planted and it wasn't blooming, he said if it turns out to be anything other than pink, that he would come back and replant it. Only after I called to let him know it was white, he let me know that you physically cannot plant pink hydrangeas in that location because of the full sun exposure. When I called to tell him that there were weeds covering the front bed and to confirm that they did put a weed barrier down. He told me that they never put weed barriers under shrubs even though we had discussed it three separate times. The entire process was beyond frustrating. I have absolutely wasted my time, thousands of dollars, and the dream landscaping that he promised me when I hired him.

The crew that mowed my lawn (sometimes down to the dirt in places) regularly left the gate open…read moredespite many complaints. The second complaint about the gate was met with 'that's a firable offense' and the same crew member left the gate open a third time. I also asked that the crew who had been coming and leaving the gates open never come again because of the repeated gate problems, trampling my flower bed, and in one instance, weed whacking a flower out of my flower bed. They were the same crew that came the next round, and as it would turn out, would leave the gate open when they left. I had asked them to perform some services they told me were included in the beginning stages, but it took over a month to get them to come out to perform them. There were some services they said were covered, but in the end, they wanted to charge me extra for them, which is ridiculous. I eventually gave up on the shrub trimming, in the end. All the concerns were met with slow moving action, or no action at all. I often had to call back to get them moving, waiting days or sometimes weeks for their call back. My lawn does not look good, my dog has escaped through the open gate once, I am missing flowers, and my shrubs are overgrown. There were some positives from my very brief experience. Their pest/fertilizer/weed control was great. I had no ants, mosquitos and the weeds were starting to finally die out and be overtaken by the bermuda. I'm going to miss having that crew come out. The first mow service was prompt and professional, but I never saw that crew again. I did get a call from the CEO after I complained for the last time and cancelled. He did try to understand the issues and took my complaints seriously. He mentioned that this wasn't the normal experience. I just wish I would have got the normal experience :-( I think that if they shore up their customer service and communication timeliness I could give them a try again. I would probably rate a bit higher and give them the benefit of the doubt, but the repeating gate problem and my dog getting loose because of it is pretty hard to excuse.

I've always wanted to put holiday lights up but never gotten around to actually doing it. At first,…read moreI thought I could do it myself, but after hearing horror stories about ladder accidents and the hassle of it all, I decided that's not the way to go. I had even bought some lights that had been stored in my garage for years. I finally decided this would be the year I'd pay someone to do it. I found T-Town Holiday Lights on Facebook and was impressed by how easy it was to request a quote on their website. They ask for your address and you can even share your availability for the install. Tyler texted me the very next day with an image of what he was thinking for the install (a simple front outline), which was just what I was thinking. I asked if it would be possible for them to use the lights I already have but he explained why they couldn't. They're not able to cut anything bought from big box stores to specific lengths to custom fit them to each house (usually c7 or smaller). They use commercial grade LED lights and the bulbs are the C9s. If it's lights they provide you with from the start, then they're always able to troubleshoot any issues, repair if ever needed and replace bulbs that will match true in color. The first year price is double the cost because they charge for custom fit and are ours to keep. The following years, it's half the cost ($250). They provide a storage bin and timer with each install as well as maintenance, and take down. They have color options for you to choose from as well (warm white, cool white, red, green, blue, teal, pink, purple, multi, pattern etc). I didn't have time to look for other quotes and I was eager to install them so I went ahead with them. I would be curious to know if there are other more affordable options. I just didn't want to keep looking. They were able to install the very next day, so I was extremely happy with how fast and efficient they were. I then received an invoice via text to take care of the balance. Super easy to not have to be home for the install. Highly recommend!

I found an awesome 5 star review on T-Town Holiday Lights so figured it was time to check them out! I went to their website and put my contact info in late one night...first thing the next day, Tyler sent me a text message! He was able to grab a picture of our house and break down the price options for what we wanted. I had a lot of questions & tweaks as this is definitely an investment but he acted like he had all the time in the world for me! He even sent me sample photos of his other clients' gorgeous lights and great suggestions to help me decide as well. He scheduled a time to install the next day & he and his crew had our custom lights up in a flash! They are truly top notch & do great work! Talk about spreading Holiday Cheer! Our lights are up and looking beautiful; exactly how I pictured them! No more endless cords, blown fuses, scary ladders, or janky looking bulbs facing in every direction lol...They built strands to fit my home perfectly, in the colors I chose, with room to add other decorations onto as well! They also installed a customizable timer so one less thing I have to remember! He said at take down (which is included in the upfront price) they pull them down and neatly place in a tub (they provide) and leave on my porch for stowing away until next season when/if we want to put them back up. Payment processing was a breeze too with a text link for credit/debit card payment. They also take check, or cash as well! What a dream team Tyler & his crew are! I was told the cleanup could not be completed because of rain, yet the company still came out and mowed the lawn on two separate occasions. Unfortunately, I was not aware that the lawn had been mowed twice, which led to confusion regarding billing. I paid the first invoice, but I did not realize a second invoice had been generated until later. The biggest issue was communication. Updates were either very limited or non-existent, making it difficult to know what services were being performed, when they were being performed, or why scheduled work was being canceled. Clear and timely communication could have prevented much of the confusion and frustration. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company for customers who expect reliable scheduling and consistent communication.
