Not sure if Baltazar is from an entrepreneur, but it definitely feels like. So someone with enough investment wanted to start a new franchise.
You know what i like better, restaurants opened up by chef's who put their years of hard work, their soul, and their heart.
It's a general problem with Karakoy area, so many cool places, but you feel everything is artificial. Just like Baltazar. I'm sure given a few more years these places will start to find their character.
One kudos to them, their meat is really really tasty. But they really need the attention, care, and passion to cook it better and serve it better. They should goo look for traditional Turkish restaurants and learn from their care for their food and customers.
If a steak house brings you well done, even though you asked medium, it's just not caring. I'm sure they know how to cook medium.
Ohh... And I asked for an espresso and they said the machine is not working. I told them they are surrounded by cafes go and bring me from one of them. They thought about it, discussed it and after 5 mins they brought me a cup from the cafe next door. Any good Turkish restaurant would do it in a heartbeat, without a debate. So you see good service is not a decision, it's an impulse.
