John Lee State Farm is top notch!…read more Had John Lee State Farm recommended through word of mouth and after my own great experience I'm compelled to leave a review. When I first called, I interacted with Gabe who is the Team Lead. Gabe is stellar at his job and excellent to work with. He is knowledgeable, professional, and very customer focused - always following through on his committments and checking in to make sure I have what I need to protect my assets and my family. Best decision ever, as I was able to save money by switching from Liberty to State Farm. Yeah! I have and will continue to recommend John Lee State Farm to people looking for auto, boat, and home insurance. Call and ask to speak to Gabe!!

Miss Janke is the most evil creature I've ever had the displeasure to deal with. I'm her client…read more Her name is on my insurance card. Last July I had a minor bump of another vehicle. Miss Janke was never engaged I'm the process. Never even calls a client back. I was told on a 1 800 number by someone with Farmers that a claim that went against me was denied. But it turned out it wasn't. A few days ago my insurance doubled. No one including that bitch told me. The automatic withdrawal made me overdrawn in my bank account. Miss Janke never returned my call. Instead, she called the police on me. I made no threat to her . I plan on suing her and the company. As my agent she beats responsibility. This is shameful behavior. She could had turned me over to another agent in her office or the claims department at the company. But she calls the police. There's not enough cancer that I hope you get!

I am looking for insurance and called this company and spoke with Joe Cox. I had questions about…read morethe company, which I stated outright to Joe Cox, but instead Joe Cox talked over me and didn't seem to want me to ask questions. He asked many questions to assess me--to determine whether or not I might be good for his company--even though I simply called with some basic questions. He was pushy and lacked the basic manners that you should expect from someone who values you as a potential customer. In the end, he said, "Well, I'm busy, so I have to go." And he hung up. Manners are important, and this guy doesn't have any. You'll get better manners from a big-box insurance company. UPDATE: At around 15 minutes after I posted the above review, I got four phone calls in rapid succession from three different phone numbers--one of which was this company's phone number and one of which said "restricted"--with a voicemail from Joe Cox. This guy, Joe Cox, was too "busy" to properly end our conversation (he hung up on me), yet he is not too busy to be quite bothered by my honest review. His voicemail states that my review leads him to believe that I am confused...that he was simply being direct. No, what I am is honest. There is a way to be direct and still have proper manners, and maybe Joe Cox will learn that someday. I myself am direct, but I have proper manners. I do not recall ever in my life treating a person in the way that I was treated by Joe Cox. As regards this posting of such great concern to Mr. Cox: It is my right to give my honest opinion on here in a respectful way--which I have done. My advice to you, Mr. Cox, is that you learn proper manners. If you want to build a quality business, then proper manners are of foremost importance.

A half-dozen family members have had policies with Cox-Olsen ranging from trivial to enormous and every one of us would recommend the agency in a heartbeat. When I was starting my family years ago, I was on a tight budget. One day, Jim called out of the blue, unsolicited to let me know he'd been looking things over and wanted to make some changes that would save me 20% without reduction in coverage. An agent doesn't have to do that. But when they do, they show you why you need them. Thanks Jim!

My wife and I moved to the Twin Cities two years ago from the San Francisco Bay Area and sought…read morehelp understanding the insurance landscape in MN, and specifically to find the best value in home, auto, and umbrella coverage. While it didn't have the absolute most reviews of any insurance broker, the reviews Options Insurance does have--across Yelp, Google, and Reddit--indicate a strong reputation for customer satisfaction. And that's been our experience since working with our agent, Tippy Sourignavong. From the jump, Tippy demonstrated deep knowledge of insurance products (including terms and conditions that I found confusing), patience (in explaining the differences between policies), and responsiveness (often getting back to me within minutes for any question I had). She found us the best deal among insurers to cover our home, car (and later an additional car), and umbrella insurance from AAA; better than I could have found on my own. Before renewing this year, Tippy reached out, letting me know that she cross shopped my existing coverage across all the insurers and found us a better deal, saving us hundreds this year. She also flagged that insurers by and large were moving away from replacement cost value (RCV) to actual cost value (ACV) for roof replacements, which isn't as good, but out of her hands. I still appreciated the call out and it's exactly the type of proactive streamlined information I need to understand my choices and make a decision. I highly recommend Options Insurance and Tippy in particular as a starting (and ending point) for all your personal insurance needs.

Their email response time is second to none, which matters to me. I always get an answer right away. Tom and Keri always exceed my high expectations. I was recently on a quest for boat insurance and calling around the various big names (Progressive,…read moreState Farm, All State, Liberty Mutual, etc) for quotes. One would expect rates for the same boat to be pretty similar in MN. Wrong! My quotes ranged from $230 to $875. I found the most coverage for the best price at American Family with Luann and Randy Svendsen on Plymouth. Out of curiousity, I also asked them to quote my auto, home, and umbrella policies. Jackpot, I saved a couple hundred dollars over the course of the year by switching everything to them. Luann and Randy were awesome: they helped look through my condo policy to find out what my association covers and how much limit I needed, they walked me through my policies so I would know what was covered and what was not and made adjustments accordingly when I realized I wanted more than what I asked for, we talked about the pros and cons of certain limits, deductibles, and endorsements. They didn't force me to buy anything I didn't need, but a lot of consumers are pretty ignorant about what and how much insurance they need. Luann made sure I was not underinsured and realizing it too late when I didn't recover enough for my lost items/expenses. They also brought me into the office to go over these items (outside their normal business hours because it was convenient for me)--you get better answers and information in person, and frankly a good relationship with your insurance agent is worth a TON if and when you ever need to make a claim. Moral of the story: make sure you get insurance (this includes all you renters out there!), and save some cash money by calling Luann and Randy at American Family.
