They were WONDERFUL! We had to take our puppy in for an emergency, they got us right in and took FANTASTIC care of him! Thank you so much!

Buck Creek Veterinary Clinic - Back at the vet. Trying to get my little kitty well.

Dr. Schweikhardt has been successful for good reason - not only is he very good at what he does,…read morebut he is kind and compassionate to both animals and their human beings. I started going to him when my dog was 8 years old. In between then and when she passed at 16, I took some years and went to another vet after moving over 45 min away from Buck Creek Vet, and that's one of my greatest regrets. I could go into very extensive stories, but I will spare you and simply say that Dr. Doug has three times figured out something fairly significant was wrong with my dog, within a short time after her being seen by another vet. On the third, an emergency vet did give me a "guess" of what was wrong, but it cost $1k to get that far, did they wanted me to pay another $3-5k for testing and acted like it was a bad decision not to. Dr. Doug never once treated me like I made a single poor decision concerning my girl. She was a well-loved, very spoiled dog who lived a very healthy 16 years. I opted to not do chemo for her lymphoma at the end, and with their help, we kept her alive for another 8 months past even the most promising guess of a prognosis. Two months after she should've been gone, we did surgery on a couple skin issues even. And I was never questioned nor treated as if I was doing too much or not enough. Dr. Doug has heard me cry more than most people, and he's always been kind, understanding, patient, and willing to explain every detail and answer a million questions. Over the last year of Bitsy's life, she also saw Dr. Garner several times and she was just as wonderful. I'm so grateful that Buck Creek Vet was there for both my pup AND me. I am 110% confident that they gave me AT LEAST an extra year with my girl. They were blessing in both of our lives, and I will take any future pets there also. You should too!

This is my second time here. So far, they have been very caring to my cats and have been able to…read moreanswer my questions. My vet closed and I had to find a new vet. There is ample parking in the lot and I have been able to get an appointment in a decent time frame. The most recent experience is vaccinations for a stray that showed up at our house. I will take her to get fixed soon, that is a bit pricey but what isn't now days. Hope to be here with my cats for many years.
