There is also a nice jungle gym to keep the kiddos occupied. The main attraction for me is that the park is nestled alongside Lodi Spring Creek, a fairly productive trout stream. Trout can be caught all along the length of the stream that borders the park. The park itself makes access to the enter section quite easy. If you're in Lodi and just want to enjoy a nice day out, Goeres is a nice spot to do it.

The owners are simply outstanding and truly care about their guests and will assist you with your request. They also rent pontoon boats. Besides for rentals, there are people who own in Burhops, which gives the whole place a neighborhood feel. You can dock your boat here, or rent a boat for the day. We usually stick with the swimming area and sand-box for the kids. Plus there's a cute little park across the street and a couple of little restaurants that are walking-distance away. Keep in mind, this is not a "resort." It's a small, off-the-beaten-path, cabin rental. But if that's what you're looking for, it's the absolute cutest off-the-beaten-path, cabin rental you could ask for!

As I drove through the campground there were a lot of travel trailers with structures built around them. It looked like horrible. During my stay the same poop marks remained on the toilets the entire 3 days I was here. The final weekend I was awoke at dawn to a barrage of shotgun fire. Duck season opened and since the entire shoreline is weeds and rush its prime duck habitat. All morning shotguns were going off like a small war. My dog was flipping out. So they don't clean the showers or toilets. The place looks like a ghetto, and there's gunfire to rival any war zone. Oh yes, let's stay here!!!

We had to cancel reservation due to health issues…read morenot being medically able to hand the air quality due to the fires in Canada we could not keep our reservation. Not only would they not work with us, but they also laughed at us for even asking. Extremely rude host. I didn't expect a refund but was hoping to at least be able to reschedule for another time down the road without losing all of our payment. I wouldn't recommend this campground to anyone.

There were a lot of trout in the pond. There is no catch and release in either of the ponds. Probably we dont even need a fishing road. Just putting a small net is enough to catch the fish. I caught 3. The store lady was nice. She cleaned it well. I just had to take home put some spice and bake/fry it. Fish tasted real good. In fact I saw others stopping by and just catching 1 fish per head and leaving. I guess they are just trying to make a tasty dinner. It was a really fun experience.

They clean and gut all of your catches for $5 which is nice. You get long sticks with string attached and are given corn kennels for bait. No wake area, perfect for kayaking!…read more Mirror lake rentals is inside the park, so you do need to get a state park pass for your vehicle. It is $10 a day, or $35 for the entire year. It is recommended that you book in advance if you are a large group, as the kayaks seem to be limited. It is a very popular place, as the scenery changes dramatically. The lake its' self is rather small, but is connected to windy rivers that are lined by orange cliffs. There is a nice mixture of shaded areas, as well exposed sunny areas. There are many beaches to pull up onto, and a dam at the end of the course. The lake is very friendly for beginners and experts. Kayaks are $10 an hour or $25 for a half day. It takes about 2 hours to get to the dam and back, more if you go casually and like to stop a lot like we did!

Got to the park around 5 and all the concessions were closed. Couldn't find anyone to speak to but there was a machine to buy a parking pass and found the map so I could figure out the trails. Made my way up to balanced rock but it was getting late and started to lose sunlight so didnt make it to devils door. Wouldn't say it's a easy hike but my girl never did anything like it and she did it just fine. Rocks slippery but I feel it was worth the views. Beautiful park and would definitely go back.

We had a family reunion here on one of the hottest, stickiest days of the summer. It was one of…read morethose days when an afternoon picnic outside doesn't sound the most appealing and you ask yourself what your family would think of you if you show up in a swimming suit, carrying a bucket of ice water. The shelter we reserved is on the northeast side of the lake (though I question how this qualifies as a lake - more like a pond in my mind) and with a hillside just to the east of it, the shelter was as good as air-conditioned! Hallelujah! There was a cool breeze thanks to the lake and since the shelter was shaded for half of the day, it wasn't until 3pm when the space finally started feeling too warm. The proximity of the shelter was also great as the Monticello Public Pool is right across the road and the kids were able to go enjoy a pool day once they were finished chasing toads around the pond (sorry Freddie the Toady Toad. Also, sorry the kids couldn't decide on a better name).

The trails are mostly shaded too which is great, especially when it's super hot out! There are several variations to check out. I typically follow the outer loop trail which is about three miles. I rarely run into people while on the trail; however it has definitely become more popular in the last couple of years. If you want an extra bonus, check out the short trail to the little church and lean about the history while enjoying the view. This gem is worth visiting!

This is the best dog park we have ever used. There is a fee for those out of town folks who may wish to run their 4 legged friend. All the dog owners we have encountered are great. This is the place to socialize your dog, do not keep them on a leash because they can feel trapped when meeting other dogs. The dogs figure out how to relate to each other. The only mark against this place are the walkers who don't have dogs who choose to walk thru the park. They seem to be annoyed that dogs run up to them. I don't care because they have acres and acres of amazing paths in the woods to trek, the dogs only have this one smaller place. I say if you don't like dogs then don't walk thru THEIR part of the park!

This one is closer to Ithaca, WI, a few miles east of Richland Center. Great spring creek, with native brook and brown trout. Small water, easily fished without wading; in fact, I was surprised to see another angler wading right up the middle, where the fish are. Huh.
