We saw the sign that it was a County Park, but it also said Wisconsin Conrete...huh? How could a concrete company be/own/have a County Park? We just had to stop and figure this out. It's not the Eiffel Tower or the Grand Canyon, but it is such an interesting place to stop and stretch your legs on a nice day while you're out on an up-north excursion. Read the Sacajawea inscription, see my photo. Due to Covid-19 the gift shop was closed, so we had to figure out what this place was about just by reading stuff on the outside of the building and other signage. Fred Smith was quite a character! You're not supposed to touch or climb on the statues, so if you keep your kids under control, this is a fine place for them. Lots of mosquitoes, have bug repellent. read more
