I will say that the service and atmosphere at Cafe Residenz are good, and they run an efficient operation for sure that caters primarily to needy tourists I'm sure. That can wear a server out, but ours was very kind. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? The pricing at Cafe Residenz is pretty reasonable compared to what they could charge, and I didn't pay more than 10 Euro for either my Kaiserschmarnn or my Goulash Soup. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? The goulash soup was fine, but it's awfully difficult to mess up goulash soup. From there, the Kaiserschmarnn really disappointed with little if any flavor and a weak texture that just fell to bits. I sampled some other dishes at my table and nothing left an impression. As a tourist you want to experience the food, culture, and daily life of the local residents and this place definitely delivers on that front.
