About a year later I received a call that they'd found just the equipment I was looking for (Garmin 530W and 430W). Since the panel was going to be unbuttoned, I purchased an ADS-B out radio, too. The install of the radios was fastidious and came in right on budget. No surprises. Modern's attention to detail and level of communication is outstanding. And the experience and expertise they bring to a project is awesome. Several times they were able to anticipate issues for me to consider that I wouldn't have identified on my own. I'm not sure if they're the least expensive shop in town, but I sure feel like I got a great value both in terms of service and equipment. I will fly IFR with complete confidence in my panel.
