Luckily we had additional straps in our car and were able to pull over and strap the tree down securely.

They have a huge assortment of all sizes and different types of trees. All the trees are kept in water to keep them fresh. The trees are arranged in order according to size. Everything is labeled size and price. You can also purchase your stand here as well as a wreath. They are all very helpful at Mike's. They will make a fresh cut and trim any branches you request off the bottom. Then they will net it and put it in your car for you. Our tree always looks just as beautiful after the new year as before Christmas!

Then I needed help again and Raymond who was just socializing asked Tim to help me again. It's like Raymond could not be bothered. But I was grateful for Tims help. He's a good guy and figured out everything I needed. Then I was dismayed to see it was only self checkout which I do not like. I do not appreciate self checkout. I came to shop. Not work for Lowe's. David at the self checkout area was very kind and helped me checkout. David innerstood my concerns and helped me check out. Tim and David both deserve kudos for their cheerful assistance. I do like that all the associates wear camo vests now. That's cool. But self checkouts. Not cool.

As the two of us were loading bags into our carts, I noticed a Lowe's employee (Thomas)was standing right beside us. He did not offer to help us, he just watched. This is the customer service I received from my local Lowe's. What a horrible experience, clearly this employee needs to be trained to do his job properly. He should be helping people. They are also a Premier Dixie Belle Paint Retailer which basically means that you'll be able to find any color or to order a paint color through them. If you're into DIY projects, then this is your place to shop or get ideas. They also sell local artisan crafts and gifts. It's filled with all kinds of beautiful eclectic pieces. It's perfect if you want to find that one piece of furniture that will make your room pop. I've only been there twice, and each time it was a great experience. The first time I visited was around Christmas time. The tree and wreaths were decorated so nicely. They had Rae Dunn pottery which I didn't see this time. I'm sure they are all sold out. I'm not a collector but I did love the doggie bowls and I had to get them. This last visit, I found an English blue & white Crown Ducal plate with scenes from Colonial times. I do have a lot of blue & white, and I probably didn't need this plate but it was calling my name. They had other things that caught my eye as well. Lots of beautiful items that they have restored.
