I bought a Mapex Tom holder from these guys online over a month ago. I was given no shipping…read moreinformation so I emailed and used the chat bit on their website to ask for shipping info but nobody ever got back to me. After doing each twice I called and they said they would tell the sales team. Still nothing. I followed up by email twice but got no response again. I called and asked for a refund and the guy said he would tell the sales team. I asked him to make the refund happen over the phone and he said he had done it and it would take 3 business days to process. It is nearly two weeks later and I still haven't received a refund. I followed up again by email and through the chat bot because it is difficult for me to contact them during business hours and I still have received nothing. Very poor treatment.

Cecere's has always been the go-to place for my musical needs. Whether it be repairs on my guitars,…read moreor simply a new pack of strings, for years this shop has provided great service with friendly, well-learned staff. I took guitar lessons when I first moved to Adelaide at Cecere's, back when they were situated further up Magill Road. They've always been extremely helpful with my musical endeavours, giving me advice on playing technique, instrument maintenance, and much more. Though the shop isn't stocked with all the latest products, and their range can be somewhat limited, they have plenty of the essentials, such as Fender, Ibanez and ESP (LTD) guitars. They're a little bit pricier than other music shops, but I don't mind paying a little bit extra. With goliaths like Allans/Billy Hyde, you've got to give the underdog a fighting chance. Cecere's also has private one-day sales that you can find out about through invitations in the mail. You can get some amazing deals on guitars, pedals and other accessories; but you'll have to be quick, as the good stuff is often gone if you turn up too late. Sign up for this if you love a good bargain!

Holden Hill Music has pretty much anything you want in terms of your music needs, especially if you…read moreplay the guitar. Located along North East road directly in front of a junction, you may not notice it driving past as the build is a dark grey and the white plain font it uses to identify itself is not immediately noticeable if you're driving past. It would really help if they had a sign with a picture of a guitar on it or something just to grab peoples attention from the street because it really is a good place to shop for music gear. Their parking area in the front isn't huge, but I just realized that there is more parking round the back if you drive straight through. Normally I would park in the St Vincent de Paul Society's car park which is larger and right next door (sorry guys). Inside, you will find a space 2 storey's high with the main counter located to the right hand side from what I remember. The staff there are friendly so don't feel intimidated if you're just going in to shop for your first guitar and don't know anything. They will help you out.

It's black and looks like you need to know your Minor 4th's from your iambic Pentameters! Sorry, how often do you get to slip 'iambic pentameter' into a sentence? I feel madly hardcore right now! Anywho, Holden Hill Music is most definately the muso's music shop. Quality instruments, accessories, sheet music and digital solutions from top to bottom. I have been in, most recently, when shopping for digital editing hardware and they have a good selection, but seem to stock more of the top end equipment rather thant the budget packages. I'm a bit of a cheap ass, so I ended up buying my goods elsewhere, but I am sure I could have sourced something similar there if I mixed and matched a bit! The store also has very strong connections to the music and giging scene, advertising for bands looking for new members and also opportunities for music lessons. I can feel a yelp band in the pipeline.....dibs on lead vocals, I'm a right show pony!
