I ate here having stayed at the Travelodge next door and I would on a whole recommend it. The menu…read morecaters for most tastes and has a decent selection of fish, meat and vegetarian options. Those who like to immerse themselves in a particular genre may find The Silk Road a little disappointing. The menu offers a bit of Indian and a bit of Thai but not loads of either. If you're wanting the whole experience you should look elsewhere. If you are happy with an Eastern selection you'll be ok here. I started with the chicken tikka which while tasty did arrive far to quickly to have been cooked fresh and had the texture of pre-cooked and reheated chicken. Presentation was a let down with a few leaves and some carrot on the side. For my main I had the lamb chops which were served in a sizzling cast iron dish - a touch I always like. 4 decent sized chops with a rich sauce were well received although personally I felt they were in need of a touch of salt. All in all, I'll probably be back as the prices are very good for what you get. My only criticism would be the music - I've still not quite worked out where along the Silk Road they picked up the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. Hungry eyes anyone?

The menu consists of 3 types of cuisine so it may take a while to make a decision. There are all the usual Indian, Chinese and Thai dishes as as some specialities. The difference with this restaurant, is that you are not restricted to just one cuisine, you can mix and match as much as you like. It would be a good place to go when you have problems on deciding what place to eat which accomodates different tastes. The food was tasty and well presented. Although a little out of the way - this place is worth a visit. The staff were friendly and attentive. Parking is infront - pay and display but free after 6.

Best we have found in Luton so far!…read more Most Friday nights myself and my wife like to have a Chinese take-away and a few glasses of pink wine! We have been doing this for quite a few years and must have tried pretty much every one in the area. We have never really been impressed with any of them until we decided to give this one a try. The only reason we had not done so before is because they don't deliver. We have now been using it for a couple of months and I must say that we have loved it every time. Not once have they got an order wrong or served us substandard food. I have always disliked Chinese restaurants or take-always that use processed chicken as it simply tastes like rubber to me. The Bamboo House use REAL chicken in their sweet and sour balls which makes a massive difference. Everything that is supposed to be crispy is indeed crispy and not chewy slop like many others. Their deep fried chilli beef is to die for! All in all this is a great take-away and I can't see any reason to try any others now (although we have probably gone through them all anyway!). Great food, great service and real meat! Don't change a thing guys as you have nailed it! If the Bamboo House decided to start a delivery service then they would get the full 5 stars!

This is where Papa Luigi comes into it's own! They always do a 2 for 1 offer at this place, or you can choose 10% off the price, but that's not as good value, so we normally go for the 2 for 1 deal and then go mad with toppings and get loads on each. They do other things too like deserts and a few other bits and pieces like garlic bread, garlic mushrooms etc. All the sorts of things that really make a fab take away meal basically. They do deliver, in fact that's mostly what they do, but we've always preferred to go and collect ours as they're only up the road from us and that way we find the pizza is hotter and tastier.
