She indicated that they were booked this week but would talk to the vet to see if they could work me in. I asked if they couldn't would she please recommend another option for us. She assured me they would and would call me back. Never heard from them again. Very disappointing since we are planning to move to Galveston and would have considered them as our vet. If you can't return a call when someone's pet is sick, you are not the vet for me.

This was the absolute BEST vet visit we have ever had! The staff is AMAZING and very knowledgeable. We did have to return for surgery the next week with the same animal. Again, they were the BEST. After the surgery, th we commented several times how "GOOD" our boy was. I was shocked at how well he did. I asked are you sure its our dog your complimenting as this is the same dog we had to muzzle and physically lay on top of him for any vet trip. I cannot recommend Dr. Fistein and Dr. Williams enough for their skills and ability to listen and find a solution to his reactiveness! The entire staff was incredible!!! The name of the business sats it all- "THE Animal Clinic" as they certainly are "The BEST!"

I didn't want one pet, but my dad and daughter seem to run the show. Our second Dog Indy, fairly new to the family less than a year old, but growing massively was hit by a car. Our local clinic said they were not equipped for the surgery he required. When I saw the Xrays my heart broke. WVC quoted us half what other animal hospitals quoted. WE (mostly my dad) have been driving back and forth from Houston to Grove, TX. Every few days to re-dress his bandages and to remove his stitches. Today he's back to his old habits of jumping on me when I ask him not to. My daughter can now stop terrorizing our older dog and wrestle with Indy once again. I'm thankful to the doctor for making our doggie whole again. *I expect to see his bionic powers soon.* Grateful to the staff for being so friendly to us and our fur baby.

Dr skinner never ran any test or blood work just started her on chemo, went back in for a two week check up. Still no test, xray, or blood work. Went to get a second opinion found out the chemo was doing sever damage to her liver and absolutely nothing to the lymphoma. which could've been prevented by Doing bloodwork. She then passed at the animal house due to her liver completely shutting down along with other organs. The two amazing doctors at the animal hospital even said that all the damage to her organs could've been prevented. Never will I be bring any other animal to them nor will I ever recommend them.

I chose to bring my dog (6 y/o boxer x pit mix) and cat (8 ish year old male orange boy) here based on recommendations and word of mouth. I'm pretty critical since I've worked in the field for a long time, and I can assure you that this team of receptionists, vet techs/assistants, and veterinarians really care and put their hearts into their patients and clients. They've always been so accommodating and communicative with me as the client, and gentle with my animals. I always warn about any potential issues (example: my dog doesn't like her nails being trimmed- muzzle her and tell her she's a good girl and everything will be fine) and it makes a world of a difference for both the pet and staff handling her..same goes for my cat who can be spicy at times. I've had routine annuals/vaccines done with them here, as well as a same-day emergency when my dog ate chocolate chip cookies and a plastic toy (she's a trash goblin- I try my best). There are many clinics on and off the island, but I will happily make the small drive from La marque to get the care from this team. Thanks yall!

I was really in…read morehigh hopes that this clinic was going to deliver a great experience, but we ended up leaving before we were even seen by the vet after waiting for 45 minutes for the vet to come into the room. I have a pug so her breathing becomes exasperated from too much stimulation. After 40 minutes and seeing the vet walk into the room of another patient that came in 30 minutes after us, I went and asked one of the ladies behind the counter to let everyone know that we couldn't wait any longer and that we needed to leave. Our first appointment was at 2:00 for the first dog and then the other two were immediately following so we couldn't understand why we weren't being seen. I ended up leaving my other dog with my friend and her dog and immediately left to get my girl home so she could come down from the heavy panting. The staff made her wait another 15 minutes and then charge us for blood work and never even came back to us with the results. Total disappointment. I thought all the rumors about how bad the service is were going to be debunked in this visit however, Galveston Veterinary Clinic really lived up to the negative reviews. I will say that if you are a regular patient there, you do seem to get preferential treatment, so there's that.
