I chose the Harris Teeter on Saint Simons because it was a familiar brand. I ended up getting a foot-long sub and had half for dinner that night and then saved the other half for another evening. I randomly was driving around the island and went to the Jekyll Island club, which was absolutely gorgeous. I went back the next day with my leftover sub from the hotel refrigerator and had a picnic under the beautiful several hundred years old white oak trees. It was such a special moment that I had to take pictures. It was an ideal picnic.

Stripling's selection is better than any grocery in Brunswick, and beats Harris Teeter for meats selection and price. Stripling's has a great selection of specialty foods, as well. Prices seemed a little high, but nothing like the specialty shops on SSI. Overall, Stripling's is a good stop in a pinch if you can't get down to Jax for diverse shopping options. They are conveniently located central to SSI, JI, and Brunswick, which is very handy.

Also, huge containers of yellow rice and a variety of crema/queso fresco, among other items I don't see in other local grocery stores. Not everything is a bargain but there are definitely worthy finds here, and you won't go home empty-handed. I got 8lbs of apples for $5 to feed the rescue animals at The Farm at Oatland North on SSI, and some cool flan- and churro-making boxed kits. Prices on these were great!

I expressed to it's the only card I have and use. I'm showing you a digital receipt. Anniha kept telling me I didn't use that card or purchase from that store. I expressed that the gentleman behind the counter is the person that helped me to get someone to get someone to dressing room to unlock. She flat out said " I don't care who you say helped you", and we're moving on from the card and receipt I will give you credit on a store card. I finally found paper receipt in my purse and told her I have my receipt as she's handling me the store card with credit. I explained I want it put on my credit card I put with as shown on my paper and digital receipt. With an attitude as nasty as can be she said "I said we've moved on from that. I said no I gave a paper and digital receipt with the tags for these items and the credit all go back on my card. She didn't like it and eventually did put on my card with a great deal of attitude. This store is not worth going to, id rather spend a little more at Target!!

As for the parking, there was mention in rvparky about a homeless camp making a lot of noise. I didn't experience that at all though there were a few gearheads and loud motorcycles making noise until 10pm. After that? Nothing and a quiet night. I had parked against the trees on the side by the garden center and was not disturbed. I would have no problem staying here again as I'm passing south on I-95 but I'd avoid the shopping.
