Yes, most of us LOVE Publix, myself included. BUT…read more.. Publix is building new stores EVERYWHERE! Take a drive and make a mental note of how many you see. In some areas, the stores are literally just a few miles apart, even just 1 mile apart, or less. The reason I'm mentioning this is simple. With all of this construction, someone has to pay those bills. And THAT someone would be the customers. You, and me. In general, the prices at Publix are reasonable, even competitive. Especially if you catch a nice sale or BOGO. Where the prices are really zooming, however, is in the Meat and Seafood Departments. I've been seeing a steady acceleration in those prices, at a faster pace than with their competitors. A visit to those departments shouldn't create 'sticker shock'! Even chicken, historically affordable, is at a very high price point. In my opinion, I see no reason to have SO many stores, clustered SO close together. I also don't believe it is environmentally responsible, impacting wetlands, wildlife and infrastructure. I say back off on the construction and focus on bringing more savings to the backbone of the Publix Corporation, the consumers.

I also want to compliment the store itself--it was well-organized, fully stocked, and a great shopping experience overall. Terrence, from Georgia, truly made my day!

Deals were everywhere and tons of doorbuster sales too! This store has a bit of everything but I give them high praise for an extensive selection of plus size designers, from shorts to dresses. Loved that in the men's section, there are shorts and shirts in different lengths for the shorter guys, from various design labels. Can't find that these days in brick and mortar stores. Grateful to have found Belk. Definite areas of improvement are the ladies intimate apparel area is a complete mess with limited options. Handbags could use a dedicated buyer, also very limited inventory and not seasonal current inventory. Shoes are also limited inventory. We will definitely be back for clothes, bedding and browsing too! Staff is super helpful and friendly regardless of their department. Cashiers mention their coupons and help you locating them. Bathrooms are outdated but stocked and clean. Pretty cool that the women's bathroom has a car seat on the wall for a toddler while mom hits the bathroom stall.
