I was stretchered out of that spot on far too many occasions due to Michael's massif mix cocktails. He is serious about his work and passed his skills on to Maggi who has brilliant tekkers on the shaker. Try her Negroni, it is spot on. I still get the giggittys when I think about the night one of our friends was slightly worse for wear and decided to finish off with a B52. What we didn't realise was that he had never tried one before and had no idea of the protocol. He did at least have the nouse to blow it out but then ignored the straw and put it straight to his lips before we could stop him ... oy vey! ..... It took two jugs of beer to put his shirt out : O! Fachwerk is a class spot and it just gets better every time I go. It oozes ambiance and style with great decor and the music will most certainly make you feel like you just stepped into the Blue Marlin at Cala Jondal. Prices are good and the bar is always well stocked. Should you get hungry then they do have 'light food' but if you want something more substantial then immediately opposite is the brilliant Mango Fusion restaurant, so grab your cocktail and go sit outside and get Mango to bring your food over... We tried to go for dinner a couple of time but, there is no way you are getting in with out a reseveration. So I tried for lunch and no problem. The place was busy but not packed. They allowed me to sit anywhere so I went down stairs in a corner. It took a little while for them to bring me a menu but I suppose that is because I was in that corner. They do have a lunch menu. The waiter was ferry nice and spoke very good English. He recommended the Spicy Monkey with crispy chicken. It was very good. This place has great food and worth the wait. I highly recommend.

As an Asian living in a German town, I find the food at this restaurant interesting and at the same time maintaining the authentic flavours of Asian ingrediants and culinary touches, for the western palate. We had 3 social engagements this month, and decided to entertain them at Ricetime - 1 with a neighbour with enjoys Asian food but has not been to Ricetime... and 2 other groups of our daughters' friends (teenagers aged between 12-13) to celebarte their birthdays. Everyone enjoyed what they have ordered, but on all 3 occasions, we experienced bad service from the serving staff - in particularly from a young Asian waitress with glasses who mumbled displeasure under her breath, rolled her eyes when we repeated our order, and got our orders wrong eventually! The worst experience was having our daughter and her friends (who are considered minors 'being asked to leave' the restaurant after just finishing their meal, when no adult has arrived to pick them up yet, on a dark and cold Winter evening, to stand outside in the drizzly evening. We had reserved the table for 4 guests, 2 weeks in advanced with the Restaurant Owner and the Manager of Ricetime for our twin daughters to entertained their groups of friends over the weekend for their birthdays, so all reservation details have been confirmed and for us adults to have the payment done when we turn up to pick up the young guests after their meal. We do not understand the need for the MINORS to be asked to leave, with no adult present to receive them, and sent out of the restuarant right after the meal, when they were well within the time period of our reservation? We do not think that any restaurant that is advertised, marketed and positioned as a contemporary, with an international offering and great customer service would do that in any given town or city in the world? It may well be a case of a busy weekend or untrained crew of service staff... but Ricetime needs URGENT Customer Service Training if the establishment is seeking to impress and keep its loyal guests. We hope to get a response from the Management of the Restaurant on the above! Als Asiate, die in einer deutschen Stadt lebt, finde ich das Essen in diesem Restaurant interessant und gleichzeitig die authentischen Aromen asiatischer Zutaten und kulinarischer Akzente für den westlichen Gaumen. Wir hatten diesen Monat 3 soziale Verpflichtungen und beschlossen, sie bei Ricetime zu unterhalten - 1 mit einem Nachbarn, der asiatisches Essen mag, aber noch nicht in Ricetime war ... und 2 andere Gruppen von Freunden unserer Töchter (Teenager im Alter zwischen 12 und 13 Jahren) ihre Geburtstage zu feiern. Allen hat es geschmeckt, was sie bestellt haben, aber bei allen 3 Gelegenheiten erlebten wir einen schlechten Service des Servicepersonals - insbesondere von einer jungen asiatischen Kellnerin mit Brille, die vor Unmut murmelte, die Augen verdrehte, als wir unsere Bestellung wiederholten, und unsere bekamen. Bestellungen falsch schließlich! Die schlimmste Erfahrung war, dass unsere Tochter und ihre Freunde (die als Minderjährige gelten, das Restaurant nach dem Essen verlassen), als noch kein Erwachsener gekommen ist, um sie an einem dunklen und kalten Winterabend abzuholen? Wir hatten den Tisch für 4 Gäste 2 Wochen im Voraus beim Restaurantbesitzer und dem Manager von Ricetime für unsere Zwillingstöchter reserviert, um ihre Freundesgruppen über das Wochenende zu ihren Geburtstagen zu unterhalten, daher haben alle Reservierungsdetails bestätigt und für uns Erwachsene die Zahlung zu leisten, wenn wir die jungen Gäste nach dem Essen abholen.Wir verstehen nicht, dass die MINDERJÄHRIGEN gebeten werden müssen, ohne Anwesenheit eines Erwachsenen zu gehen, um sie zu empfangen, und geschickt zu werden aus dem Restaurant direkt nach dem Essen, wenn sie gut im Zeitraum unserer Reservierung waren? Wir glauben nicht, dass jedes Restaurant, das als zeitgenössisch beworben, vermarktet und positioniert wird, mit einem internationalen Angebot und großartigem Kundenservice dies in einer beliebigen Stadt der Welt tun würde! Es kann ein arbeitsreiches Wochenende oder ungeschultes Servicepersonal sein... aber Ricetime braucht DRINGENDE Kundendienstschulungen, wenn das Haus seine treuen Gäste beeindrucken und halten möchte.
