I stopped at a bookstore across the street and this little boutique caught my eye. The girl working(I'm so upset I can't remember her name) was so sweet and very nice about which sales were going on. (And she wasn't pushy about it either like most sales workers are) The clothes are extremely cute and it was hard walking out of there without taking everything. Outside of clothing, they also have shoes, jewelry, bags, and misc items (candles, plaques, water bottles, you name it!) I ended up leaving with a really soft, striped long sleeve and a wooden plaque that read "This is a reminder to breathe" (something that really spoke to me at the time with what I had going on in my personal life - it was a sign!) I've been extremely satisfied with my purchase and would definitely return

Anytime I have ever gone in I've had an AMAZING EXPERIENCE. The shopping feels so personal because…read morethe staff are so involved and attentive. In addition to setting up a fitting room as you choose options, they ask about your preferences and if you're attending an event that requires something specific. This allows them to also make suggestions (which I always appreciate). Anything I've purchased there feels like a piece that will last due to its quality and timeless styles. While they sell trendy clothes, it's far from "fast fashion" type stores that don't last or go out of style. I also value how much they personalize your experience from beginning to end and even after. I've received notices when they are having upcoming deals or events.

Went…read morein to exchange a $138 skirt that once I got home and tried on again I realized I have a similar skirt already. Rolled it up, put it in the bag and went to the Orcutt location to exchange for something else. I was surprised when the saleswoman said there was a stain on it. It wasn't that there was a small stain, it was the fact that she implied I put the stain there and should have noticed because it was "big" and started questioning me. She took a picture and commented how wrinkled it was and I should have noticed the stain. She was directed to not exchange it. Which, would have been fine except for the rude implication and questioning. I had two tops in my hand to buy whether she was going to accept the exchange or not. I've never been treated so rudely in my life. I will never shop here again, and will tell my husband and friends to never get me gift cards or clothes from here again.

I recommend checking out this store if you're nearby.

The store was suggested by a neighbor and because I had previously "shopped/browsed" in a Western Apparel store much closer to my residence, that had prices I considered to be outrageous , I decided to give Boot Barn a try. Located in central Santa Maria across from the Santa Maria Mall, they were easy to find and provided convenient parking. Walking into the store...we were greeted immediately by the Associates at the front register/counter. The first impression was one of amazement...this store had a huge selection of what seemed like everything western. Clothing, Hats, Boots, Belts, Jewelry and more! Several Associates (Sierra,Gabriela) offered their assistance, and both provided knowledgeable, professional and excellent customer service! I enjoyed the shopping and due to the prices being reasonable...ended up purchasing not only a Stetson Hat but a pair of Black Ariat Boots as well.
