This company came out in less then 24 hrs, gave me a great price and were back exactly when they said they would be. They finished cutting down 8 large trees and ground out 17 stumps all before 4pm. My yard was left so clean and neat that it looked vacuumed. Not one twig left behind. They also left me neat piles of wood chips that they made from my trees so I don't have to purchase any now. I came home to a wonderfully completely job and my yard looks great. A week later, the first company that came out called me with an estimate, that was almost double and said if I didn't have it done right away, the rates would go up 40% the first of May. I just laughed and said no thank you, I hired a reputable company that didn't gouge me. Big Bear is the only company I will ever recommend for tree service and the only one I will use in the future.

Then they said they were sorry for the mix up and Michael would be out a couple days later. I waited all day and watched for him but didn't show again. Got an email saying that he was here and would send a quote. Not true! He wasn't here. They said I needed 3 yards of mulch (I just need a yard or less according to the other landscaping companies that came here.) I didn't want the Green Velvet Boxwood that they had in the quote. They quoted me a $1,000.00 for pulling out 2 shrubs, hauling away, replacing 2 new scrubs and mulch. They are $700 more than any other company I requested. Think twice before you hire them.

Appointment was made, but then a 'no-show.' Finally someone came out to see what needed to be done, and then a quote was sent to me. Unfortunately I had a situation to take care of for about 3 weeks before I was able to reply to their quote (which was higher than I anticipated). Once I reduced the amount of projects that I needed done immediately so that I could lower the quote (I expected a quote per project) and get the work started asap, Jose' said he would call the following week, either Saturday or Sunday (which was Mother's Day). They never sent another quote, and when I asked if he could get back to me prior to Sunday, that's when I never heard back from him. This is not the way to conduct business!
