This review is for the daycare. We just pulled our child out of daycare here. He came home one day and told us about an incident he had with another student. The incident itself is the kind of thing that happens at any school or daycare; However, how he described the response to the incident from his teacher was concerning to us. Additionally, this was in the context of other concerning statements (made to our child and to us) by a couple of different teachers at Wings. I reached out to the director, Athena Schmitz, who promised to discuss the specific incident with the teacher and our general concerns with all of the teachers. She promised to follow-up with me via a phone call. We received a very vague apology via a message from the teacher without explanation for the incident or her response. It is now about a month later and I never received a call from Athena as was promised. It's disappointing that our concerns were not important enough to her for her to follow through on. Beyond this, overall we noticed a big change in our child's enthusiasm for the Wings Center. At first he loved it. He enjoyed his teacher and planet kid (their big playground). Recently he hasn't wanted to go. When we asked if he wanted to keep going there or find a different school he very consistently expressed he did not want to go to Wings anymore. My gut feeling is that he's had other negative experiences there that he hasn't told us about. There are plenty of great daycares in the area. If you are looking for something similar to Wings, we checked out Bodies in Motion and were impressed. They also have a big indoor playground and the ratio of students to teachers there is more appropriate (it costs a little more but you get what you pay for). Ultimately, when it comes to daycare, the peace of mind from knowing that our child is being treated well and cared for is the most important factor for us. If your experience is like ours, you won't get that from Wings. I recommend against Wings Center for child care. read more

The worse place to send your child. Unqualified persons taking care of your children. They all lie. Their stories never match up with one another. Worse administrator ever you can't talk to her she runs and hides she's a coward. One teacher told my child to shut up for the rest of the day. I went to pick up my daughter in the middle of the day all the lights were out in the whole building it was dark I don't know where all the children were. If you want your child to have low self-esteem and doubts about their character just send them to the wing center..it's dirty and it smells. read more

This place is incredible if your have children. It's a huge play place your kids will burn tons of energy and sleep good after this place. The staff is background checked and goes through training and are certified. the facility is safe and clean, lots fo kids playing and having fun on the variety of obstacle courses. My son is 2. He was the youngest here today but had such a great time playing w all the kids and having fun climbing and playing. All the kids are super helpful and cautious. You have staff constantly monitoring the kids for safety. This place offers affordable daycare, gymnastics, swimming lessons, rock climbing for ages 3 and up. The play place is all day for $5 and adults are free. This place is affordable, fun, safe and my kid is having a blast I'm loving this place read more

I wrote this almost two years ago and chose not to share it. I've talked to friends since and they encouraged me to share our story. I feel like they really wronged my daughter and I would hate to see it happen to someone else. We did not have a good experience at this school. I've felt compelled to write about our experience just so other parents don't have to go through the same thing. We put our daughter, a week into turning 3 into this daycare. We thought the layout and endless activities would but fun but quickly realized they rely heavily on that appeal and not an actual age appropriate curriculum. Our vivacious, outgoing and friendly little girl quickly started shelling up and crying every time we dropped her off. My heart would sink every time I dropped her off, when I'd pick her up I'd try to get more information from her teacher but she would always say great and be busy with the other kids. It was very difficult to communicate with them to figure out what was going on. With our daughter being three, there was only so much we could get out of her in words but the sadness in her eyes when we were leaving said enough. She would say the boys would hit her, tell us stories of the girls forcing her into giving them her hair clips or bracelets. We noticed how the other kids seemed bigger than her, but thought maybe she was just small for her age. We were new at all of this but the red flags were pilling up left and right. We tried to handle it at home and equip her with skills to handle the new setting and kids. But we noticed a change in her, she cried at soccer with her friends when she normally was so excited and the first to lead the group. She didn't want social settings, she was changing before our eyes and not progressing or blossoming like we were hoping to see. She caught a nasty cold there that kept her out a couple weeks, was a blessing actually. And then landed the parent teacher conference, we were informed they had gotten rid of 3's class right before our daughter joined and they failed to mention that. So much to our shock she was trying to survive a new school with 5 year olds!! 2, just turning 3 with 5's going on 6 is a HUGE HUGE HUGE gap. They also had just broken up a group of very boisterous physical boys from our daughters class (hence her mentioning getting hit a lot). We were shocked and upset, it was eye opening to where the issue lied. Our little 3 year old, was trying to not only navigate a new unfamiliar environment but survive the physical strength and mental games of 5 year olds. No shame to them, they're kids and she was just in their way and easy to manipulate. It broke our heart that we didn't get to the bottom of it sooner than we did but we immediately pulled her from the school. She went into a new daycare that was completely different than Wings. It felt peaceful and structured. Our daughter was in a class with all kids her age with curriculum for her age group. It was a light and the end of the tunnel and she is now thriving. Wings really set her back though and changed her which as her mother really upsets me. So please, I would not suggest sending your freshly turned 3 year old that's never been in a childcare setting there. It may be great for 4 or 5 year olds, particularly boys. And I will say, 2 years later it may have changed and they may have structured it better but do your due diligence as a parent and poke holes in anything bothering you. read more

This place is ridiculous I went in a month early to make sure my daughter would get in to a gymnastics class here the lady wrote most of my information down wrong and told me I could not enroll at the time but would receive an email. Never heard back and now all classes are supposedly booked for my little lady she will be crushed read more

The way their billing department operates is VERY shady -- all I can say is WATCH your account closely, they will auto withdrawal a lot, and every so often this "random" pull will be on there with no reasonable explanation. When you call in to ask what its about you get either the run around or a rude older lady who basically insults your intelligence, then says they will take care of it. SOOO shady! I like the facilities and the instructors however, its just pity the billing area operates like this. read more

We've taken our daughter here (7 year old) for parent's night out a couple of times and she absolutely loves it! You can drop off as early as 5:30pm and pick-up is at 11pm (unless you choose to go earlier). The first time I went around 10ish because I thought sure she would be ready but I ended up staying and watching her play for the hour as she was having a great time and didn't want to leave. The staff attending to the kids are always so nice to interact with as well. We take advantage of every opportunity Wings offers for this as it truly is work the $27 we pay. read more

My son has been going to this daycare for 2 years and in that time they have charged my debit card incorrectly on three separate occasions. I complained and asked they not auto draft my account anymore. Since that first time they have been extremely rude. I put up with it because it was the most convenient child care for me. The last time after making a payment they took out more money without my permission. I asked to speak with the manager who was actually the owner and she told me I was difficult and did not believe she should refund me. The next day I picked up my son and was told it was his last day there. I was not late and the day before I was told my account was current. Beware if you disagree with their billing methods, you may have to find another place to take your children without notice. read more

Wings has a good gymnastics team, but they struggle keeping good coaches. My daughter has competed with Wings for 4 years. This last year, they just decided to change her practice schedule with-out asking or consulting with us. We communicated with them that the new schedule would not work due to prior commitments, etc. Because we had already paid the competition fees for the season, we were stuck. Three months later, after we were able to finally adjust to the new schedule...they changed the practice days again! With out notice or our input. We were unable to make the new schedule work so we withdrew our daughter from Wings. Now they are saying we still our them another month of fees because we didn't give them 30 days notice! Sorry, they didn't us with 30 days notice when they changed practice days. We refuse to pay. read more

I love the Wings center! They have so much to do for kids between childcare, swim, gymnastics, rock climbing, and an indoor playground. All of the programs are AWESOME!! I'd highly recommend it to anyone who need a good fun safe environment for their kids to ware themselves out! read more

Wings Center is amazing! My kids love the daycare program and my daughter LOVES the gymnastics team! We have been going to Wings for over 5 years and have enjoyed every minute of it! The team coaches are amazing and truly care for their girls! They are very willing to work with families to help their athletes meet their goals and enjoy their sport! read more

This daycare has the worst business office. The teacher turnover is way too much. I would encourage you to look elsewhere for daycare needs!
