I've been here a few times to this location and while the servers are polite and the service is good, they are consistently out of key ingredients for their wing flavors. I have been dying to try the bacon and cheddar wings since they came out on the menu - the first time I asked, they were out of cheddar. The second time, they were out of bacon. Today was the last straw when I came in a few weeks after the second time and was informed that "they just haven't been refilling the bacon flavor, and had been out for a while". It's not like there's a thousand wing flavours on the menu and being out of these key ingredients knocks 3 or 4 choices off the list! Please make sure you have all your essential ingredients, Wings - especially when that's your target food! read more

Went here with two other people during wing Wednesday at around 7pm, and was able to get a seat fairly quickly. They seated us at the patio in the very end, which I didn't mind because the bar was quite loud anyways. The server was nice but wasn't very enthusiastic about her job. We ordered our wings and it came pretty quickly which meant they weren't that fresh. The presentation of the wings were really awful, they served the wings on a white plate, it felt like there wasn't any thought put into the food presentation. Our drinks also came without any straws (we ordered cocktails) so we needed to wait for the server to come and bring us some after a long time of trying to track her down. By that time, our drinks have already melted without us stirring the things on the bottom. The server didn't even come to check on us after we had a few bites. She only came to collect the plates after we were done. Overall, the wings weren't exceptional and the service was adequate. What can I say about wings? Wings has amazing Wings with lots of different and interesting flavors! The staff here is really good always stopping by to make sure that you have everything you need without seeming pushy like at some pubs. This location being a pub is a big upside as it is nice to go to an establishment and not worry about children running around annoying all the other patrons of a restaurant. There are just enough TVs here so that you can keep up with your favorite Hockey team wile you eat wings and drink beer! The menu itself has a pretty good selection of foods on top of the amazing wings selection! I recommend the burgers if you are not feeling like wings. If you want wings the day to come here is Sunday as it is 39 cent wings day which is a much nicer price than the full price! This location also has off sales for Beer and other alcohol. If you run out of booze and realize the liquor store is closed you are not out of luck! read more

I joined Yelp just to give the management team and staff a big thanks and applause for their efforts on my behalf. I lost a very important personal belonging last week while dining there and was certain that it was never to be returned. Ray and his management team looked at the security footage, tracked down the culprit and called me three days later declining the reward and giving the item back to me! It is rare to find people that would go to that length for their customers and I think this deserves full praise and reviews. Wheelchair accessible? I don't know why it is marked as 'yes'. It should be 'no'. Yes there is a wheelchair parking spot, but this does not make the restaurant 'wheelchair accessible'. My friend and I came here on a Sunday night for some cheap 39 cent wings. I just moved to Burnaby so I'm used to going to the Wings in Coquitlam, and let me tell you, comparing this location to the Coquitlam location makes this one look pretty dumpy. First when we got there I asked a waitress for a table that would accommodate my friend who is in a wheelchair. Looking around I could already see there was absolutely no where she could sit. Every single table in that restaurant is a high bar style table with super tall bar stools. She would be sitting at least a foot under the table if they were to seat us there. The waitress made us wait a long time while she ran around until she finally took us over to a booth. The booth too, was raised a foot off the ground and there was no way my friend would be able to eat there. I told the waitress this and then she admitted that the restaurant was not at all wheelchair friendly and that she had never been so ashamed to work there. Well we were about ready to leave when the manager came rushing over, he told us he could find us a spot and they again had us wait while they frantically ran all over. While we were waiting a hostess came and asked us if we had been helped, we said yes but we were waiting for a table that was wheelchair accessible, she told us that she did not know anything about that and could not help us because she "is just the hostess" so I asked her if she knew if the seating on the patio was low enough and she very rudely answered "I don't know, I am just the hostess, I cannot help you, I was just making sure someone has said hi." What the hell? the hostess doesn't know what the seating on the patio looks like? Anyways.. the manager came back and told us that there were tables on the patio. We would have preferred not to sit outside but we didn't really have a choice so we made our way through the super tight aisles, pushing chairs and tables out of the way, to make it to the back of the restaurant and out onto the patio. To cut it short, our new waitress was very kind, the wings were good, nothing too amazing or anything, but satisfying. We ate, we paid and we left. I don't know if I'll be coming back, I used to go to the Coquitlam location every Sunday, and I was always beyond satisfied with the service, food, and atmosphere. Looking for a good place to enjoy a beer and wings? This place is a cute little place along kingsway that has a great atmosphere, tons of tvs, booths for privacy and heated patios. Service is good but nothing to race about. Food comes out at a decent pace and the number of flavored wings to choose from is end. The pub and grill has a parking lot that can fill up quickly during huge sporting events but there is plenty of street parking around the area to choose from. read more

We went on a Friday night, as we were in the neighbourhood and hungry. We thought it would be okay, as there was a Lions game on tv, and it was fairly full, but not packed. We were seated and ordered; our beer had come but the food hadn't yet when a full-out brawl started at the bar, which was beside us. We got splashed with beer, but the couple next to us got the worst of it - the fighters landed on their table/dinner. There was blood flying everywhere, and we were pretty much trapped in our booth - if we had moved, we would have been in the middle of it. It didn't last long, but it was disturbing, needless to say. No staff tried to break up the fight - they were big guys, the ones fighting, so it's hard to say if you want to try to get in there or not. Their friends were trying to separate them, at least. Once the fighters were separated and escorted out, we surveyed the damage, and saw there was blood on our table, as well as many other places. I pointed it out the blood on our table to one of the staff who had come along with a mop and bucket of bleach water. His only response was "yeah, yeah, we'll get to it." Not once did someone ask if we were okay, or anything. Some of my friends thought we should have been offered a free meal or appie of something, but none of that. Once the blood had been cleaned up, the staff carried on as if nothing had happened. I was still shaken, and found this rather odd. Not that you want to carry on about it, but still... We had considered leaving, but the guys had merely been kicked out, no police were called, so they may have been continuing their disagreement in the parking lot, and we didn't want to run into that. We still hadn't eaten, and decided to stay. Once the food finally came, I wasn't overly impressed. Everything was incredibly salty. Wow. What a way to get people to drink. We ordered Thai pineapple wings; those were good, but there wasn't very many of them. My husband & I made pretty quick work of them. The cheese bread was pretty good, but the yam fries were salted within an inch of their lives. We had also ordered nachos, and those were just about as salty, with very little on the nachos for the price. We had been given very little salsa, and asked for more, as the chips were very dry. I was really annoyed to find that they actually charged us for the little tiny bowl with a few spoonfuls of extra salsa she brought. The service wasn't great; we had a tough time getting our server's attention; she just whipped by, almost like she hoped we wouldn't be able to say anything quickly enough. We made a reservation 2 weeks ago for a party of 11. Showed up and the whole place was reserved for some kind of fundraising function. Our party was still clearly on their book on top of the other party. Without checking with the reservation person, Manager immediately said they tried to call us several times. I assumed she will separate the bill being as we are a big party with not all the people there yet. drinks come wings come everything's fine , wings are little over cook but whatever it's on special. now it will be 30 too 45 min till I see her again . table messy , drink empty and most important me thirsty lol . She comes by again, me and the others order more drinks .me and my friend order the steak special , it comes with a glass of wine and cheese cake dessert . She brings the food and drinks. now it will be around 30 to another 45 mins till I see her again . Table full of dirty dishes more importantly I'm thirsty lol .I say dammit !! in order too get drinks here we will just order pitchers of beer too last us throw the service drouts . I order two pitchers of beer at a time now . she comes by every 35 mins now . my buddy does the same in 35 mins . now for the bill ! it not separate at all . I do all the math myself wtf . My buddy still has not gotten his order of wings yet buts it on the bill . soo we tell our server he still does not have his wings. we wait about 15mins for that . Upon her return she says the kitchen says it's been send out must of went too wrong table . We are trying too leave now for 25 mins so far . my friend does not care , he's full from all beer and eating my wings. He tells me " your gonna get mad be mad about the two dessert you never got " . Fuck I totally forgot about my dessert from the two steak specials . This is the only time she come by in timely fashion too get her tips and the bill . oh yeah the last of our party waited almost 30 mins too order their drinks but she give them for free . I tell her she forgot about our two desserts she like oh sorry it will be right out . Do u want blueberry or chocolate . I get blueberry my friend gets chocolate . she takes her tips and the bill . It's 20 mins later!! I ask other waitress , I think she forgot about us again . This server get us our dessert in 5 mins . the desserts look like one dessert cut in half .Guess what !! their both blueberry my friend wanted the chocolate one . I do not eat it , I just put my fork into it for the principle and leave . My buddy tells me two mins after I leave the manager was tolled about bad service and give him a free coupon for a pound of wings. big fucken whoop. Came here for lunch, ordered wings, cheese bread,fishsteeet tacos and beer. Soooo not worth the price tag. First of all, i have to sau I've been a loyal wings customer for over a decade and I'm sad to say it's been a slow and steady decline in terms of food quality and value over the years. The wings were tiny nubs, you now have to pay for a dip when it was free previously with an order of wings and the wings are not flavored evenly. I have been in Burnaby for almost 4 years now, and my wife and I finally came by here for half price wings today. The wings were really good, and the service was quick and friendly. So why only 3 stars? Well, we thought we were going in for cheap wings, but in order to get half off, you also need to buy a drink. In other places we've been to, you just needed one drink per table, but here, you needed one drink per person, and my wife and I are both normally water drinkers. Also, you could only have one flavour of wings per order. So in the end, with a drink that cost 3.68, we really just got about 1/4 off the wings and ended up paying about a loonie per wing at 10.02 per order. We also were only able to try two different kinds of wings, and I would have liked to have tried a bit more. We would have probably gotten more to eat if we had eaten off their 10 dollar lunch special and drank water. Again, what we had was delicious and quick, and the service was great, but it wasn't the good deal we thought we were getting when we walked in the door. read more

Once you get past the long wait line your in for some delicious 39 cent wings on Sunday! They have a bountiful selection to chose from. Like salt and vinegar wings to their regular hot wings. But I will have to try their bobby wings next time which is suppose to be their hottest wing, and I believe you need to sign a waver before you can eat them. read more

After eating at Wings Burnaby for so many times, today I took one of my friends there who is visiting from Newfoundland. The "Assistant Manager" greeted us and of course I asked for a table for two. To my surprise, he asked to see our IDs. Now, we are not yet seated and from my knowledge, IDs should only be requested if someone is ordering an alcoholic beverage. As I said my friend is a visitor in BC and I didn't tell her to bring an ID because we were going to a restaurant I've been on numerous occasions and was never asked for one. The man a.k.a as the Assistant Manager stated that he cannot allow us in the restaurant or he's going to be in trouble if an inspector should come and my friend doesn't have an ID. This was another shocker. Imagine the Asst Manager turned away the customers Made me wonder whether this was from a racist intentionBut my question is where in black and white stated that we should provide our IDs to be seated in a restaurant? Did the government give this instruction when he gave restaurants permission to re-open? ‍What was the purpose of asking us for our IDs at the door without knowing if we would order an alcoholic drink or neither did he write down our names and collect numbers to track/contact customers should there be a COVID case there?On top of that, when I asked to speak to the Manager, the person firmly said: "I'm the Manager". When I said no you are not. He changed his statement to "I'm the Assistant Manager" This is just ridiculous and of course I will not be returning there. read more

Pros: Off-sales, great drink selection, convenient location Cons: staff is kind of grumpy, the food other than wings is average at best, no pool table Definitely an improvement over the Pub Med that used to be there before, but unfortunately it didn't do much for the staff, the food and the clientele. It's still the same overbearingly loud, UFC-cheering, Ed Hardy-wearing crowd that frequents the place. Came on a Tuesday. Food took half an hour to arrive and the wings arrived cold. Manager would not honour our gift certificates that THEY issued to us even though the fine print made no mention of using two gift certificates at one table. Furthermore, they had mentioned the last time that we could use both but told us not to as the total amount was less than our gift certificate amount so we opted to save it for another day. Our server was caught in the middle but didn't make up the rules and she was nice. The manager seemed to be making up the rules - first the system doesn't let you use two gift certificates at one table and then back peddling and saying that the gift certificate states that it's one per visit. Obviously, he was not able to show us where that was on the actual certificate. We do get our wings in the end and are then punished by having to wait another half hour for our three pounds of wings (after already having to wait a good chunk of time before the manager could come talk to us because he stepped out.) All in all, more than two hours wasted at Wings for two platters and some wings. Thank you and have a nice day. Hopefully not at Wings. read more

Visited about 4 times whilst staying in Burnaby. Some of the nicest food ive had. I had the west coast wings(amazing if you like sharp stuff) red thai curry( best checken I've had) pasta and fish and chips. The place has a really nice buzz and there is lots of sports being showed. Visited this place after many months of absence. Noticed that the parking wasn't fully packed even when the games were on tonight. Lots of empty tables and noticed that the place was all lit up, much brighter than it used to. We ordered Fish & chips, which was so incredibly salty and a Calamari which turned out to be so salty as well. My friend didn't finish his chips coz it's impossible to eat much of the salty chips but ate the fish since he was hungry. I thought he was just a bit sensitive to the taste until I tried his chips. Oh my! We're both going to have HBP tonight eating those salty meals. We didn't enjoy any of the food we ordered, not even the beer which was not icy cold. Service was not bad (not like before) and didn't go beyond. After the initial visit after the food was delivered, no one came to check on us anymore. I noticed that the servers were all together by the register chatting and not doing any rounds. This was a 'go to' place for us before but we're now extremely disappointed. My friend recommend this to me but unfortunatley I was very disappointed with the service at this location. I hate feeling rushed and pressured to settle the bill in the middle of my meal. We felt rushed to leave the restaurant this happened to me and my boyfriend both times coming here. On both occasions when we came in the afternoon to try happy hour. During the week Got stuck with the same pushy server (long haired Burnett bigger girl) iterrupting us eating to pay the bill with no option. When we told her we wanted to still order she rolled her eyes and said she was getting off. The Food was great dont think ill be coming back to this location. Not going to lie I love all the wings restaurant I have been to the surrey Langley white rock & coquitlam one and this one is the worse. Service wise, the staff, the restaurant itself..did not enjoy the experience at all, left the place with two full box of food that won't be eaten but felt force to take with us so we wouldn't look rude. Go to other Wings for better enjoyment and I'm assuming this one is owned by a different independent owner or they just didn't care about this Wings restaurant as much as the others.
