Highly recommend. My partner, parents, and mother-in-law…read morehave been raving about it all year. Fresh, outstanding quality and friendly, excellent service. Tried the beef sausage roll, curried chicken & cheese on focaccia, schnitzel sandwich, and what's now one of my favourite amaretti I've ever had! Everything was so delicious! And I wish I would've gotten the name of the person that helped us out - she was wonderful! Their West K location is just a couple of blocks from me; so, I'm looking forward to swinging by again soon.

Recently opened bakery and cafe! We've been trying them out! The product is decent but the service…read moremodel is lacking! Often left standing at the premade sandwich bar! Staff going by don't acknowledge the waiting customer. When you place your order they don't give options. Today I ordered two ham & cheese on Focaccia To go! I thought there was a special as the sign said two for $10.50 and they were small. I ordered two from the staff member who had appeared after a few minutes. No questions, she just grabbed two went into the back. Not sure why. Came back with two sandwiches each on a plate in their own paper bag! Rang then up on their fancy card machine and walked away! The amount was $21.00. Another staff member came. I asked the staff member about the sign that said two for $10.50. Was told that was for the small sandwiches which were half the large ones and I got the large ones. End of conversation. No option to get what I wanted. We drove home. Put the paper plates on a dinner plate and sat down to eat. Nice poration of ham & cheese! No lettuce, mustard or cucumber. The bottom half of my sandwich was so soggy I had to throw it out. The focaccia seems like day old. The food has not on average been bakery/cafe quality and lackadaisical service model doesn't encourage me to go back!

OVERALL: 7.9/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 4/5). My partner and I were passing through, and wanted to…read morestop for coffee. It was a decent experience - they did forget that I ordered a breakfast sandwich until I politely reminded them about 15 minutes after they gave us our last item (steamed oat espresso latte). Verdict: I'd come back if I lived in the area, or was passing through again, but it's not a place I'd outright go out of my way to get to. 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 8.5/10. It has a decent selection for being such a small hole-in-the-wall (relatively speaking). 2) FRESHNESS: 8/10. They have the materials to make things fresh, but a lot of the baked goods are technically "pre-baked" (they may have been made on the same day, but they're not "made to order". 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 7.5/10. Overall not bad, kind of expensive (sandwiches were $10 and $12; lemonade was $4 for a small glass with tons of ice, iced coffee and latte were $6 each, almond croissant was around $5?), but not terrible for a small(ish) town like Vernon (remember, all prices in $CAD for a Canadian business!). 4) SERVICE: 7/10. There were two people working here the entire time I was there; one was constantly making drinks, the other was alternating between helping customers order and making the food. It was a busy morning, but the person who took my order forgot about the breakfast sandwich that I'd ordered until I politely reminded them (after it was already cold, sad days). 5) CONSISTENCY / FIRST IMPRESSION: 8.5/10. I'd definitely come back - and prefer it over the local Starbucks / Timmie's - because local businesses are fantastic if done right (and this place seems to have struck that balance). Parking in front, but not much! I'm happy to see a local coffee shop thriving - tons of folks came in and the place was always having someone order the full time I was there. NOTE: This place is also the same as "juice wall" - there's a "wall" of shelving near the door that's a ton of wine options - you have to get a coffee shop item to order stuff from there, but it seemed like a reasonable price when I was perusing (but not purchasing) the wine. My only regret is not taking a picture of the wall! The seating wasn't bad - there's maybe 5 tables of 2-3 inside, and a patio that lines the outside of the place - so it's not bad by any means.

We got these cupcakes made for a babyshower this past weekend they were terrible. I've never made a…read morecomplaint before - however we paid 130$ for 40 cupcakes and they were not even close to worth that amount of money. To start, the size of the cupcakes were quite small and all of the cupcakes were different sizes. The cupcakes were dry and the lemon filling was the only part that had flavor and the blue velvet first off looked green, was dry and did not taste like blue velvet, or any flavor in fact. The icing was suppose to be buttercream icing and it tasted like lard. Out of 40 cupcakes 28 were left over... And the few that were tried ended up in the garbage as they were that bad. We called the cupcake place #sugarsweetcupcakes and explained our situation and the lady stated "I'm sorry you feel they were not good...people rave about my cupcakes. The blue velvet looks green and its Italian butter cream made with real butter" I'm sorry you didn't like them.... Was also said very sarcastically. Sometimes things don't work out the way they are suppose to, however the customer service at this cupcake shop is unprofessional and disrespectful. I would not suggest this place to anyone after this terrible experience! I would have given this place a 0/10 but I had to put something or I couldn't give a review.
