Great Lady and Owner of this very social wine bar where most folks drink beer and some drink vino.

Ambiance is my first choice to describe how awesome and welcoming this socially conscious wine bar is to new folks dropping by. Bar keep/owner just is happy go lucky as she wil yell at ya to Come on In and sit a spell. Super fun place with local folks sharing their stories and giving advice without permission... lol. I share return when I journey thru here again. Cheers to joyful memories.

What a gem y'all! We were staying in Post, Texas at the historical Hotel Garza B&B for my birthday weekend and noticed a few cars in front of this establishment. We were curious so we walked over to see what we might be missing. I'm glad we ventured inside! It's a 1/2 block off the highway on the charming E. Main Road. I don't know what the historic building looked like before, but the owner has done a fantastic job on the inside and out. The owner Michelle is a hoot. She will make anyone feel welcomed. She said they had just opened in June. The locals that were there that day were just as friendly. When we were there on Friday about 7:00, it was low key and chill, but our understanding is that a small crowd had just left. We sat at the bar and had a good time visiting with the other folks there. There's also chairs and couches if you want to sit with your group or a friend. The wine selection was great. My husband was glad to have some cold bottled brews. And the charcuterie board was delicious - a perfect balance of savory and sweet. We loved it so much, we went back on Saturday for the live music from 7:00-10:00. and that place was packed! I'm glad we got there early enough for our little group to grab a couch and a few chairs. Everyone was having a great time. Michelle was working hard. I'm not one for public attention, but she mentioned a Happy Birthday serenade to the customers around her and it just took off. Before you know it, the whole place was singing. It was sweet and everyone was having fun. The ambiance is perfect. The place is clean. The wine is good. The beer is cold. The charcuterie boards are tasty. The company is great. The prices are reasonable. Whether you're staying in Post or just driving thru, WH127 is worth the stop. The locals have a real gem with this place. Hopefully Winehouse at 127 will make its mark and stay for the long haul. We'll be back for sure.

The owners, Lydia and Carlos Almanza have completely renovated this historic building in downtown Rotan, doing most of the work themselves- along with their daughters. Behind the handcrafted bar built by Carlos, there are 3 big screen tv's. There is also a huge projection screen above a karaoke stage. Can you say, "Karaoke Thursday Night" ?! Upstairs is a beautiful loft/lounge area where you can relax away from the business of the bar, and enjoy a glass of wine or a margarita. They have 2 pool tables and a Touch Tunes jukebox, and the restrooms are very nice! The patio area will take you away to a different place. It's relaxing and has lights that give it a festive feel. There is a bar on the patio as well. If you are in the area and it's after 5 on Thurs- Sat, come check it out!

Ray's is a great option when you want to grab a beer or margarita or daiquiri (no liquor license, beer & wine-based liquor substitutes only) and hang out with friends, old and new. The TouchTunes jukebox is a neat addition, allowing you to spin your own party mix for a small price. Definitely download the TouchTunes app & fund your account before you go. The outside patio offers a small cash bar, the two pool tables are always busy (frequent pool tournaments are being run, as well), and the upstairs lounge is so cute. They've done a really great job with the decor (go see the bathroom, ladies!) and overall if you don't know the Almanza's you might be surprised at the level of care put into the look & feel. If you know them, you won't be surprised or disappointed. The patrons are a cross-section of Fisher Co itself; farmers & hands, gyp millers & spouses, small biz owners, doctors, nurses & politicians. Looking forward to their continued growth & food offerings. While a full liquor license would be nice, don't be shy about trying the daiquiris or other cocktail offerings, they're delicious! And if you've ever seen my reviews you know that ice cold Shiner is a must. ;)

The service and staff make you feel welcome, they're friendly, quick - all the things you could ask for to enhance your experience. They offer it. The location is nice if you're anywhere near the Tech campus area. It's right on Broadway. Parking can be tough if it's busy. There is street parking and a lot, but neither are the most plentiful. The food is the real star though. Their wings are incredible, and they don't mess around with the spice. They can be hot! I love the jalapeño poppers. Where else gives you a real popper and not just a frozen and deep fried version? As for the pizza...I'm pleased to say it's the best part of an already awesome place. It doesn't matter what kind you get, you'll be happy with your choice. The Last Call Pizza deserves it's own paragraph. I think I can confidently say it's my favorite pizza of all time. And the second time I had it, confirmed just that. Look at this description - "Homemade smoky pizza sauce and alfredo sauce, topped with cheese, bacon, sausage, sunny-side-up eggs, and drizzled with our sriracha sauce". It's INCREDIBLE! Can't recommend this place enough, if you're in Lubbock get over here!

I feel like Bierhaus is a place worthy of two separate reviews, so I'm going to write it as such:…read more I. Bierhaus has the best burgers in Lubbock. I am not even going to front with you. Their buns have such a sweetness to them mixed with a sharp and well-cooked patty, American cheese (a must in a cheeseburger), and their haus sauce that is like a thousand island style sauce that all combines into a delight. It always has a hefty weight to it and a well balanced amount of tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. How do you explain the concept of a burger? It's really just something special. I like coming here for lunch. It's a bar at the end of the day, but their burgers are what make me want to come back. Many times in college, a friend would suggest Bierhaus, and I would tell them yes only if we got there before their kitchen closed because I needed a burger. They also give you a ton of fries. More fries than you'll ever need with a burger. That's awesome. Being in Texas, you see a lot of places offer a patty melt similar to the ones at Whataburger. A lot of places try to make a higher version dupe of a patty melt, and I think it always falls flat, but Bierhaus's does a pretty good job of being its own thing. Thank you for good food, Bierhaus. RIYL: Boorger II. Bierhaus is a great starter bar for a night out as a college kid in Lubbock. I don't think it's a place to end up if you're hitting multiple spots, but I find it endearing as a warm up spot or a one and done on a chill night. The two story indoor space can be loud, but there's a lot of booths for hanging around and chatting, with plenty of TVs. The outdoor patio has a different energy with swings, large tables, and a DJ. They always have a great selection of beers and good deals to go around. It was one of the few bars in Lubbock to offer cans of peebers (PBRs), which was always exciting for me. They also have their Capri Funs, which I always enjoy. Bierhaus is worth the party. RIYL: Brewskis

Everything about this place was fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing. The burgers were cooked perfectly, the fries were delicious, and they have a great selection of beers to go with it. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the staff. Our waiter, Drew, went above and beyond. He took the time to walk us through the menu, answered all our questions, and kept bringing extra sauces, jalapeños, and anything else we might want without us even having to ask. Another young man named Zo stopped by our table twice just to check in and make sure everything was perfect and to see if there was anything he could do to make our visit even better. That kind of attention and genuine hospitality really made an impression. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. My mom and I might be a little older than some of the crowd, but we felt completely comfortable and right at home. Great food, great vibe, and outstanding service. And flies are buzzing around everywhere. I order and while ordering I say, "Hey what can be done about these flies to keep them away from me and off my food when it arrives". The answer, "that's because it's summer and we leave our door open, we have a salt gun but we can't use it when customers are here." "So... what is done to keep flies under control and away from my food?" I look around and see no deterrents hanging or placed, nothing. I just received a phone emoji worthy white man shrugging face. This place doesn't even have a fly swatter or flip flop from an angry Mom. The Sweet and Spicy burger arrives. It was good enough. Just so that you know FIFA WC soccer was on. Ivory Coast was up on Curaçao 2-0 and Germany was tied up with Ecuador 1-1 in a close and better elimination game. The audio for the bar was for the CIV v CUW. I was interested in the Germany v Ecuador game so I asked, "can we get the audio to the GvE game?" "No, those two ladies (only two other patrons in the bar) are watching the game being played/heard.". "No problem", I say. Meanwhile the women are talking super fast and weren't even taking breathes enough to hear the broadcast nor looking at the TVs. In my head I thought, man I don't write reviews often but this would be an epic one star. But decided chill out, and not. I finish my burger and beer and about with :15 mins left in the match the bartender changes the audio (to GvE) which is met with applause by the women, and an inner smile by me. Ecuador scores almost instantly as they pound on the table and stand on their stools, as if they were on Bourbon Street and things could get very interesting. Hmmm, I think to myself. These damn women are Ecuadorian. So what's with thinking they were Curaçaoian? Or am I to believe they didn't give two about looking at the Curaçao game and suddenly became super fans when the Ecuador game was turned on audio. Honestly. Did he miss the mark that much? Sure did. Anywho, the check arrives at the burger menu priced at $13 comes up as $13.83 and the pints are also like $9.odd amount like $9.81 or something. The total is $33.blah blah. I hand over my card but ask, "what's with the strange pricing? The menu says $8 for each item." "Oh let me check...oh yeah it because the menu lists cash prices and so if you pay cash, you get that price, if not you pay this price." WTH!!! Maybe that's listed on the menu. But a 10% service charge on beer to cover a what 3-4% Visa fee. Man, please be overcharging to buy some fly swatters or hanging stank away bags. So yeah, 1-star. Just skip this place and go sit on a Port-a-potty instead.
