Although one can't order food from downstairs, they do offer great little cheese plates and meat trays that are ready to go on demand. We were there on a Wednesday night, which just happens to be their tasting night... Although I wasn't in the "mood" for a beer tasting, having the owner cotinuosly bring us a little sampler of the beers being offered made it hard to resist. We had a bottle of wine and a couple cocktails and ended up with a cheese plate and meat tray before the night was over. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Caesar salad was topped with the most yummy almost candied bacon. I'm not a big bacon fan - but this was perfect. Tomato bisque which came with a side of mini grilled cheese. This made me exceptionally happy. Kraft dinner, a treat my child was very happy about. Delicious warm sourdough bread was offered to start. I thought it was adorable at the end of the meal that they gave us each mini four packs of peppermint tic tacs.

The "Chicken Shawarma" consisted of mediocre generic chicken which clearly never saw a proper spit, and likely never saw anything resembling a marinade of spices like cumin cardamon paprika and other authentic "Middle Eastern" spices. In fact, it likely never even met a real fire. It gets very tiresome paying a small fortune for crappy food made by people who should never have ever entered the food business. Why? It's a popular place with the sledder and four wheeler crowd because it's so casual and laid back. They can hold a lot of people when it's full.
