Oxford certainly has no shortage of off-licenses, but, although yet another chain, this one is welcome for its slightly classier feel than Threshers or the fabulously named 'Cheap Booze'. It's got wine from all around the world, with an emphasis on quality rather than quantity. There's a good sample for everyone, from someone wanting to try something new, to a more experienced wine lover who wants to find their favourite. It doesn't go hugely posh, but it does the job for most people. It also stocks some interesting beers, spirits and tasty snacks (Lindt chocs - yum!). read more
