I'm always troubled by purchasing Pre-arrivals and the store is not communicating. I tried the phone I tried email. The phone apparently does not work only the Inter-website communication portal worked. Purchased a 6 pack in June, Purchased another in August...was assured of an October delivery at that time because it was too hot to ship. Magically when I pursued continuously over a period of 7 days for an update, that my wine ARRIVED. I paid the shipping and the "tariffs" on 2 separate orders and received my wine in a bulk cardboard box instead of 2 separate wooden crates that were intended as gifts. I asked for the crates and was told that I needed to ask for them when purchasing(how, I do not know) and that they had been subsequently destroyed along with hundreds of others. When I received my wine it occurred to me that I had paid for 2 separate orders and that shipping should have been refunded immediately when the wine seller realized that he had only sent 1 shipment...but no I had to ask! Additionally, I asked for the crates 5 days later and was dismissed being told there were no crates. The wine was not inexpensive but other shops have treated me more equitably and respectfully. They lost a customer and advocate and created a very disappointed person in the bargain. I will never spend anything with these people again, not time, energy or money. mk read more

Holy smokes DO NOT order wine online from this place. So many issues. First, they got the lead time of my wine wrong by 10 weeks! Adjust the quoted time. It's simple. Second, I asked for my wine that was in stock on my order to be sent separately because there was now a 20+ wk lead time on the rest of my order. Had to bug Gianluca constantly to even place the order! Then when it came it was not even close to what I ordered. So frustrating!!! Third, I canceled my order because I was done dealing with all the issues this place has. Now they won't even refund me the correct amount on my card. Time to take it up with the credit company!! I never really thought of having developed a palette before going to Wine Empire and the owners are so great Gian Luca and Ana! Been coming here for over 8 years and this place is awesome and starts with the owners . Whether hosting large events or just browsing for some wine or beer you are treated like family from the minute you walk in! The international selection of wine continues to grow and evolve love it ! Stopped in today after searching high and low for a particular bottle of wine, which is not easy to find as it is from a very highly rated vintage. Literally one of the only stores in Massachusetts (with a website listing) which carried it. The owner verified that they had the bottle on the phone and held it for me for 24 hours because I was wary of ordering through their website vs. simply picking it up. I arrived and the store was clean and much smaller than I had thought it would be ... but everything was arranged well, so it didn't seem cluttered or disorganized. They have a chilled room in the back with craft beer. Lots of great choices ... it's not like a big box store with cases and cases. Mostly a lot of variety but not stacks and stacks of the same brands. I was driving home with the bottle and the owner even found a nice box to put it in so it didn't roll around on the ride home. I would certainly come back here ... a good selection of wines and craft beers, for sure ... and not the stuff you see everyday at other stores. read more

I stopped by after stumbling around on the internet. Not only did they have a large variety of high end wines, they have an online portfolio, where you can get literally any wine out there. The owner is also excellent at recommending futures for Bordeaux's. I will be shopping here regularly. read more
