Easily my favorite large market/grocery store in the area. Great selection of fresh meats, cheeses,…read moregroceries, produce and baked goods. High quality take and bake meals for those on the go. It's not just that Wegman's is an upscale grocery store, it's that individual sections are good enough to stand on their own. For example, the store's wine and liquor selections could rival most speciality stores. Competitive prices for your more common offerings, but also a lot of imports that aren't carried by the state stores - including premium vintages. I've almost never waited for very long on line, despite how busy this store always is. Staff is helpful and plentiful, and I've never not been able to find what I needed, for any recipe.

I can't recall if i have ever ranked a local distillery at 5-stars - but this gem of a place is…read moreamazing and deserves to be recognized. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to sample the wares. For the most part we were the only ones there - so we had the opportunity to have a long conversation with the owner: about him, his products, and what i can only describe as "passion" for crafting spirits. In fact, passion may be too weak a word... We ordered a fiight of 8 spirits - 5 whiskies, 2 gins, and a rum. Usually I consider myself lucky if I get one or 2 acceptable ones (my batting average on local distillers is not good lol). Springhouse is the exception to the rule. Each was good and unique in its own way - the gins were more in the Genever style - barrel rested, smoother and while the juniper was there , it was in the background. The rum was a winner as well. That said, the whiskies were my favorite - each with a distinct flavor profile. Of course I had to bring something home! Opted for their top of the line bottle: an American single (barely) malt that just screamed "have me with a big cube and a cigar" (i did later lol). At $70 a bottle its not an everyday pour - but it was firmly in the "upper category" of a craft spirit. Oh - and did i mention they serve craft cocktails? My wife loved the espresso-Carmel oriented one. The intersection between skill and passion can produce a product that punches above its weight. While we were not there for the food, we will make another trip to give it a try. its worth the drive. Trust me.

The hubs ordered the Smoked Old Fashioned, and I went with the S'mores Old Fashioned paired with their Salty Dog. I'm usually not a fan of sweeter cocktails, but this drink instantly transported me back to childhood nights around the campfire, roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. It was nostalgic without being over-the-top sweet. Fantastic drinks, great atmosphere, and even better service. Highly recommend stopping in for a cocktail. Cheers!
