A section of the stand was devoted to their hard cider. If you're like me, you have expectations of a certain level of sweetness when you hear the word cider. This isn't the case here. The ones I sampled were very dry and in my opinion, not worth the price of $22. The person working the stand was not very personable. I'm not shy when it comes to asking for a deal, and shopping at a farm market is no exception. While I didn't ask for a discount, I did buy tokens at the entrance, which is a feature of this market. You buy wooden tokens at the entrance, by card or SNAP, and you get bonus coupons for fresh fruits and vegetables. Toward the end of my visit, I realized I had $1 worth of tokens left. I don't like taking unused tokens or tickets home from anywhere. It is too easy to misplace or forget about them until they have no value. I typically check my pockets before exiting events to make sure I'm not leaving with unspent coupons or other tokens. Upon finding a couple of tokens, I went to this stand and explained the situation. I was flatly refused with a statement that they had nothing for $1. Keep in mind that there were baskets of apples and open crates of cherries right in front. I have been in sales for the majority of my adult life and as a sales manager, I would never let someone walk away from a sale, no matter how small. This guy turned me down. I went directly across from his stand and asked the same question. I was rewarded with a couple of ears of corn. I would have gladly traded my coupons for a few cherries or even a small apple at the first stand. I've never seen such a lack of customer service. As I left, I made it known where I would spend my money on my next trip. The funny thing to me was that he was aware that I had already bought from him earlier. He didn't seem to care.

I bought one bag of frozen pierogies in the flavor of potato and cheese, and they cost $10. At home, I boiled the pierogies. I know that pierogies can be fried, but I did not want to add calories and grams of fat. These potato and cheese pierogies tasted very good, so I will rate this business as 5 stars. The family feeds their hens a 100% organic soy-free feed and gives them access to open pastures for 365 days per year. They feed their berkshire pigs a 100% organic soy-free feed and put them on pasture year-round. They feed their belted galloway cattle 100% grass and hay on open pastures. They do not administer any hormones or antibiotics to their animals. So far, I have purchased this farm's chicken eggs, ham, chuck roast, and rump roast. I made the purchases through the website Market Wagon. My husband, dog, and I greatly enjoyed the freshness and flavors of all of these foods. Examples of this farm's other foods are steaks, ribs, ground beef, hotdogs, sausage, kielbasa, green peppers, and banana peppers. I feel happy that this family takes such excellent care of their animals and that their foods are such a high quality, so I will continue to buy their foods in the future.
