Though a little more expensive than you would come to expect from an everyday dairy so that could be worked on. I personally quite like the smoothies, I tried the avocado lover which was risky, this was a mix of avocado, banana, apple, honey and frozen yogurt and which was again surprisingly good. Star Convenience is one of these things - from the outside, a bland run of the mill chain convenience store. But they have a difference. You can get 5 naan breads for 1.90 here. You can use these for anything- pizzas, herb bread, you rule the roost on this one. If you live in the area, head on up to Star Convenience for a cheap feed.

Albany Superette is a family-owned and run shop and no matter which one of them is on duty they all says hi and smile and laugh and chat as though its going out of fashion. Oh and they play classical music all the time! Kind of strange but a quirky touch - I quite like it. There's a bakery, a chemist, a cafe and an ATM all in the same complex so its a handy stop and right on Rosedale road too. Its a bit crammed but hey what Superette isn't.

One of these is Dr. Pepper and cherry Dr. Pepper. If you haven't tried either of these drinks then I strongly suggest that you take a look at your life and change everything about it. The second thing that they sell here are samosas (chicken, vege, and butter chicken); and really cheap samosas too. You'll find them in the pie warmer, and god damn they are good. Their goodness is bolstered by the fact that they are like $1 or something ridiculous. Samosas and Dr. Pepper; that's all anyone ever needs.

You can get all the usuals; butter chicken, tikka masala, samosas etc and they're not too spicy either. It's a pretty decent lunch for $10 and they taste really good too. I also really like how clean the place is. A lot of corner dairies I've been into are pretty dusty and some of the merchandise looks like it's been there for years but the Smile Supermarket is always clean and tidy.
