This lovely period hotel may be in a 200 year old building but the amenities are completely up to date. Remarkably quiet in the middle of the city with comfortable firm beds and down comforters. The bathroom is new spacious beautiful and sparkling clean. The balcony has a security door so we could have fresh air open all night. No elevator but the walk up the beautiful staircase more than made up for that. I had to downgrade it for the pall of cigarette smoke that made the lobby entrance most unpleasant. Location is convenient to transport right in front lots of bakeries-and restaurants pharmacies. Lovely walkable neighborhood. read more
