We (3A, 2K/8years old) have spent one weekend in the Radisson in Duesseldorf in June 2008.special rate due to advance booking. We selected this hotel based on comments from various blogs in the Internet (http://www.qype.com , http://www.booking.com) . We can only confirm the general tendency. The hotel is a little remote, after an approximately 10 min tram ride, one reaches with ease the center of the town. Give it another 5 minutes and you are at the main station, the traffic center of Duesseldorf - can't be easier. The group daily ticket costs, believe it or not, only EUR 11, - for the entire Düsseldorfer area - that's why the hotel location did not bother us at all - and it even could be used for another trip to the famous Neanderthal (likewise recommendable). The hotel is cleanly, extremely " pleasant" (child) friendly and the breakfast buffet was rich and fresh. Also the atmosphere within the breakfast area was very pleasant - not too narrow, calm and with view in the Greens. I spend annually approx. 80 nights various international hotel chains. The SAS's services, friendlyness and general facilities can keep up well with them. The only (small) deficiency are the rooms - which are already a little "old fashioned" , however clean. However, on arrival we called the hotel staff from the airport and asked them for an earlier availability of our rooms since we had to change our clothes due to an event participation at noon. Around 10:30 then, when we arrived at the counter, we were greeted with "Welcome - your rooms are already prepared - enjoy your stay". In summary, we can further recommend this hotel definitely to families, who look for a pleasant place for a week-end trip to Duesseldorf. And don't forget to post your experiences here in order to help other desparate folks like us to find a neat place to stay. read more
