DON'T DO IT! After having Window World install all new upstairs in our home, we now see they cladded vinyl over deteriorating wood, provided insufficient flashing and have discovered new moisture between their vinyl cladding and the wood frames. My carpenters on the roof now, tearing off all of their work and flashing widows properly, replacing trim. I called them a week ago to come look, for their protection and mine. No sign of them. Immediately had to "take everything the manager" because I expressed disappointment in the work quality. That obviously created no priority. We will escalate this. Wow avoid these folks. They are confrontational and can't keep appointments. They will cancel on you the day of the appointment and blame it on their "glitchy" system or on you. When you call to cancel the service because you're reading the writing on the wall about what customer service is like they'll get confrontational. Save yourself the frustration. read more

We were so anxious to get our new windows installed. Our house is 12 years old and the contractor windows that were installed when the house was built are at the end of life. The windows are leaking argon gas, so they will fog up in between the glass. The spring ballasts started to break as well as the window life handle. We purchased 4 large hurricane resistant high wind impact windows and a new sliding glass door for our beach home in August 2021. We were told it might take up to 14 weeks to get the windows and door. Here we are at week 24 and still not installed and every time we've contacted them they are extremely rude. We had Window World replace all the windows in our house about ten years ago as all the contractor grade windows had gotten to various stages of fogginess. Since then we have noticed several beneficial results like less dust, lower power bills due likely to lower air drafts whereby heating and ac systems don't have to work so hard. Recently, we had one small window alignment problem after manipulating the foldout feature while washing windows. One call and a window technician comes out 2 days later and fixes the adjustment which was probably caused by something we did to screw it up. They stand by their guarantees. I should've looked at the reviews online before wasting 2 weeks waiting on them. Their reps are extremely slow and their "customer service" is horrible. Update-window world finally gave us our deposit back, so we put it toward ABC windows, which was less than the original price window world quoted us (for 12 instead of all 15 windows) and ABC had the windows in in 2 weeks! We love them, and the guy that have us the quote (Nick) came and installed them himself with a little help. He has wonderful customer service and did a great job with the windows. read more

He spent 30 minutes or so with us at the property and made sure he had our email contact and phone. Promised a quote in a matter of days, then NOTHING! In the past, I have used Window World, loving their service, installation, and guarantee, even though their prices were a bit higher than others. My current experience was terrible from A to Z! I stopped by, explained my need for french door with blinds to replace the ones currently installed thanks to Hurricane Irma. The Gentleman was courteous, and said he would have the OTHER Mr. Sasser call me because he dealt with doors. Ten days later, I had heard nothing so I phoned again. Finally got the same Mr. Sasser I had met with. He said he had not called because he had "been out". Said he would call me back with a price, and asked me the size of the doors. I asked if he wanted to measure and he said to get my contractor to pull a tape in 3 places and give me the measurements which I would give to him. Okay.. I did that. He said I would have a contract in my email the next day and I should sign and mail in with a 50% deposit. He quoted a price and I did not balk. Two days later, no contract. I called and left a message which I continued to do every 4 days until this week. On tuesday, February 20, I called and asked the woman if they were going out of business and explained the problems I was having getting them to sell me a door. She said she and her husband built the company and had turned it over to their sons who were running it and that the new phone system would be the reason I had problems getting to someone. She said she would set up an appointment to have a measurement taken and did so for Thursday 2/22 at 3:30. I gave directions, that there was no house number due to the hurricane. told her my house was the ONLY coral trimmed in Lime green on the cul de sac and that there would be workers cars/trucks all over the lawn. I was there at 3:15. At 3:45 Window world called saying he was at 114. I told him my address was 118 and re-stated the parameters. He had to be 2 doors down from me. It's a very small CUL DE SAC. There were no other lots with 4 cars and a construction trailer on it and nothing else wiht the colors I had described. He called three more times and said his GPS wouldn't find it. I again gave him the "eyeball parameters" that would be easy to find. He was very abrupt and said gruffly, WHY DONT YOU HAVE A HOUSE NUMBER?" I was stunned. I told him that Hurricane Irma took care of that but that he had everything he needed to find me, and that all delivery people found me, and just told him to cancel the whole thing. He said "fine"! I felt relief. I told my workers what had just happened and one who is also a home inspector said he has two clients with Window World problems. 1 can't get them back to replace a window they put in which was 1 of 2 and they were different! Another can't get them back for a service problem. My neighbor across the street said a good friend of his used to install for them but is there no more... A shame the Window World name is held in high esteem by so many. However, their current operation is NOT the Window World advertised or the Window World I've used many times over the years. We made a reservation several weeks ago for a quote. The guy never showed up. I called and they said he was a no show at his first appt. as well. Not good. So they made an appt. the next day for us with the "owner", Greg. I waited around all afternoon as he was supposed to come between 3:30 and 5:00. At 4:30 I called, they had no notation of my appt., then told me that that person does not make house calls. They claim the fellow who did not show up the previous day had had the flu, but could be at my house tomorrow. Really? No. 1, if he has the flu, he will not be better in two days, and no. 2, do I want someone with the flu in my house? I flat out cancelled. We will not use them. Oh, and don't bother with Window World in Riverwalk, Bluffton, either. A guy came out, spent an hour and a half giving his spiel, then we never got the quote, even though we called about it several times. If this is how they conduct business, you don't want to deal with them. Read the other reviews, they echo mine. read more

We bought a townhouse fall 2015 and the previous owners had put in 2 new doors summer of 2015. They replaced the back door due to leaking issues and were guaranteed by Window World that it would no longer leak. Well it does and it has completely ruined my hard wood floors. When we called them we were told that the warrantee does not transfer to the new owners.
