Do yourself a favor DO NOT call this company, even for a quote! As a direct result of lies,…read morelaziness, or possibly purposeful "forgetfulness", and other blatant misleading lies this scam of a business will cost us yabout $2,200 for absolutely nothing, or pay $7,200+ to them for a job we would not have agreed to if we had a truthful or at least a sales fraud who was even a little honest. iI would rather pay for nothing than give over $7k to such a dishonest company that shames the name of the good man who started it.
My wife and I asked a representative to come to our home to take a look at our entry/exit door and quote us for a possible new one. The man seemed very nice, honest, and especially believable! The quote he came to was over $7,000, which at the time was crazy high in my mind, but it was doable. Prior to signing anything I inquired about costs associated with changing or cancelling our order if a financial emergency, or unexpected issue we're to happen. Just after asking that, I was informed that the estimated Time it would take before getting the door if we ordered it and have it installed would be 22 weeks!!! That detail alone should have had me second guessing this business and the salesman. As for the cost to cancel or make changes, he casually stated, "Well, you are around 22 weeks out, if things change there could possibly be a minimal fee if the door you ordered is already being built since it is custom. (That is totally understandable! I get that part!) But that is a while away so if something comes up or you change your mind in the next couple of weeks it shouldn't cost you a thing." Seven days later I called to cancel because I lost a large portion of my income unexpectedl and our central AC is needing to be replaced. The first call I got a receptionist, she said she would pass on the cancellation and have the "front desk" call me back. Five days later no return call. I then call the lying who at that point I still believed, I was even feeling terrible for him for having to cancel a sale a week later. I am in sales myself and that is never "fun". So I tell him if he can get us a door for around $2k, just a plain door that does the job I'll buy. He says "I will run quotes for a metal door, that should probably get you where you need to be." Ending with I'll call you back tomorrow. Today, which is three days later he calls and left a message. Although I called to cancel the door now 8 days ago, only a week after meeting the guy and settling on the door he tells
me I will owe 30% or, $2,144 just To cancel the original order. I believe he said the door was ordered by the company already, but it should not have been if what he told me when we met was the truth. I was told "many" weeks and I had "time to change if needed." Also, if it was ordered within the last 8 days it is due to their lack of customer service, returning phone calls, and taking the information down from when I called the first stating that I called to CANCEL the door! I am a big believer in buying local, this business may look, sound, and act that way but if you buy their b.s., you may wind up paying thousands for just that; B.S./lies that come with a cost and never receiving the actual thing you called them about I'm the first place. I will update this to inform unsuspecting customers how this situation plays out. After only two weeks as a "customer" I can promise that however it goes,'no matter what I will never deal with these unethical opportunist ever again.
