Work was performed multiple times without prior approval or any written scope changes. Communication was extremely poor--many of our calls and emails went unanswered, and we often had to follow up repeatedly to get basic information. We also found ourselves continuously having to check if they were doing things properly. For example, they neglected to take moisture readings before removing the drying equipment to ensure that our house was indeed dry. Although they apologized, the same issues continued throughout the project. Dealing with a home mitigation situation is already stressful, and the lack of communication and clarity only made it worse. It is incredibly unsettling not knowing what is happening in your own home. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Harris Restoration, especially for insurance-related work, where clear documentation, transparency, and consistent communication are essential.

We were scheduled for a 10:30 on Tuesday appointment and there was a lot of moving the schedule around to make it work but we needed it done. 10:30 rolled around and passed with no one showing up- I called the company (Jim) and spoke to him asking when he would be arriving. After some explanation that he was in conversation with the buyer they decided to try and reschedule the appointment... Umm, I'm the owner and paying for this service to be done & the new buyer really has no say in the matter. I was upset to say the least- He asked if he could come another day and I told him no this day was already shuffled around to make it work since the rest of the week is packed with not only working but moving and remodeling our new place. He said he would be arriving at 1pm then so I got my toddler down for a nap and waited.. and waited.. and waited. No call & no show. Finally my patience was thin & I called him to see where he was at 1:45. Some bs excuse again then he proceeded to tell me he would be arriving now at 3:00. (I had to be leaving for work at 3:30 and now had to work some magic & have my hubby come home from work early to watch our toddler and dogs so this company could FINALLY GET THE FREAKING JOB DONE. Seriously the worst experience in a long time and not sure how companies can stay in business when they literally don't show up or contact customers when they scheduled themselves to do a job. The system is in and ugly as heck but I could care less at this point since we are moving. Guess this is the end the rant/review. If you do hire these guys plan on blocking out the full day and calling them for details cuz you won't get it otherwise!

I am a dedicated thrift store enthusiast, generally seeking home décor, dishes, books and clothing, which is not really what Restore is stocking. On my first visit I left empty handed, though I saw some interesting things, and figured someday I'd get to the nitty gritty of Restore. Well, we just moved to the area, and are doing a ton of work on our property. My husband mentioned he needed some doors for our greenhouse, and I recalled seeing some at Restore, so we ended up returning just a few days following! Yeah, that's right, they have doors aplenty (like 50+), and that's just the start. We bought three doors (lol, so random), one of which is an antique farmhouse door with a giant pane of perfect glass. Swoon! Next, doorknobs for $5 and hinges for 50 cents each. My husband found several super specialty plumbing valves that retail for $250+ priced at $25 (seriously, I looked it up!). We also got a yellow fig for $5 'cause I needed a little fun! An aside regarding the plants: they get extras from nurseries, but they also get many from a local guy who just loves to grow plants, and they are gorgeous and giant! My fig was over 2 feet tall, there were huge hot pink hydrangeas, passion flower, herbs, tomatoes, etc. There is a variety of furniture, bits of flooring that would probably be enough for a bathroom remodel, toilets, sinks, light fixtures, paint, tools, hardware, appliances, etc. The store is large, easy to navigate and pretty organized, all things considered (it's still a thrift store, though!). A lot of it is used, but there are new things, too. Basically, if you are remodeling and not in search of a specific item/style/brand, Restore is the place. We are planning to build a tiny house in the future and Restore will be our go to spot. We'll look here first, then go to a big box store for anything additional. The prices can't be beat, there are some seriously unique finds, and every employee we've interacted with has been as pleasant as can be.

DON'T USE HIM YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! PLEASE READ MY REVIEW!!…read more I'm not sure how Harley got yelp to give him a good customer recommendation but I've only noticed it along with more pictures to look busy and authentic in the last 11 days. Since I stopped using him, he's posted multiple pictures and gotten in good with yelp. However, when he came to me, he said he didn't like yelp and it was bought and paid for and the reviews were fake?? He knew that I was a yelp poster. I strongly believe that Harley's yelp reviews and Google reviews are fake. If you read them, they all sound alike. They always use the word "knowledgeable". Maybe he'll change that now. Here is my experience. I was looking for a little bit cheaper Pest Control and also came upon a problem in my attic with mice and rats. However, it's not substantiated because I have not heard any noise and most of the droppings are old. Harley, who is the only person who owns the company just one person working out of an old SUV, no paperwork, no contracts and really no credentials was concerning when I met him, but he did have insurance so I took a chance. I paid him $109 for three months service which he never completed. He came out complaining constantly about my house, it was too big, too high, too close to the ocean, too next to a mountain etc. A lot of sour grapes when you live in a beautiful home and somebody wishes it was theirs. I live in a beautiful home overlooking the entire Pacific Ocean in a forest in a very coveted neighborhood. I'm not sure who he typically works for? He had all types of problems getting the right ladder to fix a couple of exclusion spots. He showed up four times with the wrong ladder, not knowing what to do and wasting time and money. I explained to him that's not the way to run a business. You need to know what you're doing. You need to be efficient or you're not only wasting your time and money but the customers time and money. It's funny how people who know nothing about a business. Think they can run a business. I own a business 30 years I know what's involved. He went into the attic and placed a total of four little plastic mouse traps the kind you buy in a hardware store, not professional like a company would use. Companies use a tunnel style that is much more sturdy. The ones he put up we're not even set when the next man came to check. They were just sitting there unset. There is nothing professional about him. He doesn't know what he's doing. He is not knowledgeable as all of his Yelp reviews say. The last time he came to my house, he attempted to get up on a ladder that he rented and was waving around like a flag up there because it was windy weather. He said he didn't understand the weather at the coast and never bothered to check the weather. Well, it's a good idea to check weather before getting on a ladder, especially at the coast. He took $109 and did not do his job. I have proof in my checkbook. Please do not use him. You will regret it. He does not know what he's doing and he's working out of his SUV. It's not even a real company. Yes he has the name of the company and some fake reviews and paid yelp to get assistance on the site. He ended up accomplishing absolutely nothing at my house, except wasting more time and leaving me with the problem to have to handle with the next person as as well as keeping the money and doing nothing. Luckily, I came across my old Handyman, who is going to get up on a big ladder and take care of these exclusion holes for me and he has no trouble with rain and has a proper ladder that stays in place. I will just go back to my original Pest Control company, which will begin doing checks on the attic twice a year as well as what they were doing and they've also offered me a very discounted price so I'm very happy to get back with a real company. Don't make the same mistake I made trying to save a few bucks go with a properly vetted company that has policies, contracts, paperwork and responsible workers and accountability! The last time he was supposed to show up a week ago I text him several times just to complete what we had started and he blew me off completely so not only did he take my money, but he blew me off after receiving all my calls. I saw that he was reading them and he refused to respond even to say hey I'm just not gonna come. That's totally unprofessional and passive aggressive. A responsible person would've said hey I'm not comfortable with this job or I've chosen not to come back. Aside from the money. Famous last words: "I just like to help people" and "You're my best customer!" If anyone ever uses these words, you know, they are a con artist. Please do yourself a favor and find one of the several companies we can use for Pest Control. They are out there and if you need help, write me and I'll tell you who I'm using. Don't believe the hype you can find good people!
