A little over 2 years after having my drapes installed they came crashing down on the floor today. Look at the reviews and you'll see I posted pics and gave a 5 star. 2 years later I'm peeved! The wall brackets were not installed properly and now I've got big gashes in my wall. Apparently they used weak anchor screws for these heavy curtains. To make matters worse I just put my house for sale and we are having open house in 3 days!!! I've gotta scramble to fix thIs in time. Ugh!!! If you still decide to hire these folks make sure watch them like a hawk on the installation and insist in adequate anchors or better yet make sure they are drilling into studs! read more

I have had drapes my entire life and feel they bring a sense of warmth to a home. He had me choose from a wide variety of products. Luis told me it would be about two weeks until installation. I called Luis at window draperies to get a quote for my Dad home. They promptly came out and assed the curtains which were old and tearing. My Dad (94) wanted to keep it just as my Mom left it when she passed. Luis and his mom were so kind and compassionate to dad. They listen to his story of my mom coming from Mexico and how he lived in Boil Heights and his service in WW2. Luis and his mom found the same color and material for the living room and the bedroom. They put up the new curtains while my Dad watched with a smile and commenting to me, "this is exactly how your mom made the curtains". It made his day and not to mention mine. I reached out to Luis about 2 1/2 weeks to request a quote on some blinds as he has really great reviews. My first conversation with him he seemed very helpful. I can't say that about the rest of the correspondence my boyfriend and I had with him. He had been texting with my boyfriend regarding dimensions, didn't text him back for a few days so my boyfriend followed up with him. Once again he requested dimensions that we had already given him. Finally early this week we made an appointment for him to come today to do measurements and provide a more accurate quote. It was scheduled for today at Noon and while my boyfriend was getting ready to leave the office to meet him at our place I asked him to first double check with Luis to make sure he will arrive on time. Unfortunately, Luis told him that he is unable to come at that time he had scheduled and had to get re-scheduled for later today. We would've never known that this appointment had to be re-scheduled if my boyfriend would've never reached out. Not at all acceptable. I immediately asked him to cancel this as I am already not confident in Luis. I am going to save myself the frustration and just proceed with a different company. Bummer as we were really excited to work with Luis. Hopefully future potential customers have a better experience. read more

I contacted Luis on 11-12-14 to schedule an appointment for 11-13-14 at 3pm. Per Luis' request I texted him the address and confirmed the date and time of the appointment.....which Luis acknowledged. So it is now 3:10pm and I just got off the phone with Luis....wondering where they were. His response was priceless.....something along the lines of him being out of town and going back in then asking me what I needed done to my house and that he could go there. Time is valuable....especially when I was flexible with his scheduling preferences. There was only one other review which happened to have similar concerns on timeliness. Luis and his parents were able to understand and figure out how to provide the reverse-pleat drapes and the decorative bronze traverse rod for my extremely wide window, and did a great job. When the drapes ended up a little long, they took them back and fixed them perfectly. Laura was very helpful in choosing fabric, very knowledgeable about the characteristics of different fabrics and was able to help me choose an excellent solution. Their measuring was "pro-active", is the only way I can put it: figuring out the appropriate height between the sheers and the curve of the ceiling of my living room. They figured out the width so that the open drapes do not cover the window at all. The end result is exactly what I envisioned. Their prices weren't the lowest, but the quality was excellent. We did have a couple of changes in appointments, but as I was not in a hurry, this was not an issue. They are friendly, careful, and keep at it until you are happy with the result. They also put blinds on 3 other windows, a much more straightforward job, with ease and accuracy. I went back to them to re-upholster the seats of 4 chairs. Again they were very creative in figuring out how to use the cloth I had, which was a little too small. The chairs look great! read more

I have been looking for motorized roller shades for my apartment for some time now and probably got at least 10 quotes. They were anywhere from $1300 to $3000, and dealt with a lot of bait and switch. Ironically everyone was selling the exact same things in the same colors. Luis and Oscar were great.
