Luis and him mom came out and gave me a quote and they were very reasonably priced as I had gotten a quote from Home Depot, 3-day blinds and JC Penny. I purchased blackout drapes for both my living room and bedroom sliding doors. They were ready on time and once they were installed it came out beautifully. I did notice that my living room shears had a run in it and Luis came out and looked it and replaced it. I ended up going with a thicker fabric (paid the difference) because it was fairly thin and I didn't want to get another run. They are a family owned business with good customer service. They even provide cleaning services which I will definitely be using. I recommend Window Draperies Etc. for your drapery needs. If I need any other window furnishings, they will be the first ones I call. read more

I'm extremely satisfied. Luis did an exceptional job. He is very thorough and skilled with his craft, which I loved. Highly recommend.

A little over 2 years after having my drapes installed they came crashing down on the floor today. Look at the reviews and you'll see I posted pics and gave a 5 star. 2 years later I'm peeved! The wall brackets were not installed properly and now I've got big gashes in my wall. Apparently they used weak anchor screws for these heavy curtains. To make matters worse I just put my house for sale and we are having open house in 3 days!!! I've gotta scramble to fix thIs in time. Ugh!!! If you still decide to hire these folks make sure watch them like a hawk on the installation and insist in adequate anchors or better yet make sure they are drilling into studs! read more

I had Luis over to look at my guestroom and make suggestions on appropriate draperies and window coverings. He was professional and caring while showing me many options. He had me choose from a wide variety of products. Luis told me it would be about two weeks until installation. As promised, he called me two weeks later and asked if the next day was good for installation. Again, he showed up promptly with his crew and my room was finished in no time with excellent results! I was so impressed with his company that I have him working on another project for me. Thanks Luis! read more

I have had drapes my entire life and feel they bring a sense of warmth to a home. My current drapes were installed 12 years ago and when I was ready to upgrade my master bedroom drapes I searched high and low for a reasonably priced business, since the last guys went out of business in 2010. My search ended when I found Luis of Window Drapes Etc., a family run business with experience beyond my expectations. Luis and his mom came out, made their suggestions, we collaborated on a selection and within 4 weeks my drapes were installed and I couldn't be happier with both the quality and the price. read more

This is my second house using their service. Windows Draperies install blinds throughout the house and also custom draperies to rooms and living room area. Luis and mom were very helpful on choosing the right style that fits the house. The quality of work is outstanding, beautiful and very detail. Two of our rooms has half circle window that's very challenging to cover. Yet They were able to solve this beautifully! I would definitely recommend windows draperies etc to any home owners. The draperies are beautiful. The artistic work, the fabric quality and the design is fabulous. I love the look of elegance in my living room. I highly recommend this company and plan on using them for future home projects. I am so happy with their work and now that I know they do upholstery and pillows I will be using them for these future projects. read more

Oscar and Luis are great.. Late, but that's neither here nor there. The only guys who didn't use my original craftsman parlor windows to justify a ridiculous quote. No bait-&-switch here. Very reasonable price for the detailed custom work. read more

I contacted Luis on 11-12-14 to schedule an appointment for 11-13-14 at 3pm. Per Luis' request I texted him the address and confirmed the date and time of the appointment.....which Luis acknowledged. So it is now 3:10pm and I just got off the phone with Luis....wondering where they were. His response was priceless.....something along the lines of him being out of town and going back in then asking me what I needed done to my house and that he could go there. Time is valuable....especially when I was flexible with his scheduling preferences. There was only one other review which happened to have similar concerns on timeliness. I know nothing of the quality of work that Luis does but based off his terrible time and client management I would not use him...ever read more

Luis does great work! He made custom drapes for a room in my loft with 15 foot ceilings. Very good quality craftsmanship and fast turnaround time. Fairly priced. Highly recommended! read more

I called Luis at window draperies to get a quote for my Dad home. They promptly came out and assed the curtains which were old and tearing. My Dad (94) wanted to keep it just as my Mom left it when she passed. Luis and his mom were so kind and compassionate to dad. They listen to his story of my mom coming from Mexico and how he lived in Boil Heights and his service in WW2. Luis and his mom found the same color and material for the living room and the bedroom. They put up the new curtains while my Dad watched with a smile and commenting to me, "this is exactly how your mom made the curtains". It made his day and not to mention mine. He absolutely loves the new curtains. Thank you again for your compassionate heart to please my Dad and his desire to keep my mom still with him. Ivan read more

I reached out to Luis about 2 1/2 weeks to request a quote on some blinds as he has really great reviews. My first conversation with him he seemed very helpful. I can't say that about the rest of the correspondence my boyfriend and I had with him. He had been texting with my boyfriend regarding dimensions, didn't text him back for a few days so my boyfriend followed up with him. Once again he requested dimensions that we had already given him. Finally early this week we made an appointment for him to come today to do measurements and provide a more accurate quote. It was scheduled for today at Noon and while my boyfriend was getting ready to leave the office to meet him at our place I asked him to first double check with Luis to make sure he will arrive on time. Unfortunately, Luis told him that he is unable to come at that time he had scheduled and had to get re-scheduled for later today. We would've never known that this appointment had to be re-scheduled if my boyfriend would've never reached out. Not at all acceptable. I immediately asked him to cancel this as I am already not confident in Luis. I am going to save myself the frustration and just proceed with a different company. Bummer as we were really excited to work with Luis. Hopefully future potential customers have a better experience. read more

These guys are truly awesome. It's a family run business that is extremely competitive on pricing with a quick turn-around. We had them do wood blinds and custom curtains, and both projects turned out beautifully. We'll definitely be calling them again once the second half of our renovation is complete. read more

Just had a love seat re-upholstered as well as vertical blinds + valence and a window shade installed for our new master bedroom and bath. Great work. Very pleased with their service and pricing and turnaround time the first time, so I called them again for another job. You get the work and materials they describe. Did not have any issues with them. I would recommend them to friends and family, if asked. You will be happy with your project and....... of course, the cost! read more

Luis and his parents were able to understand and figure out how to provide the reverse-pleat drapes and the decorative bronze traverse rod for my extremely wide window, and did a great job. When the drapes ended up a little long, they took them back and fixed them perfectly. Laura was very helpful in choosing fabric, very knowledgeable about the characteristics of different fabrics and was able to help me choose an excellent solution. Their measuring was "pro-active", is the only way I can put it: figuring out the appropriate height between the sheers and the curve of the ceiling of my living room. They figured out the width so that the open drapes do not cover the window at all. The end result is exactly what I envisioned. Their prices weren't the lowest, but the quality was excellent. We did have a couple of changes in appointments, but as I was not in a hurry, this was not an issue. They are friendly, careful, and keep at it until you are happy with the result. They also put blinds on 3 other windows, a much more straightforward job, with ease and accuracy. I went back to them to re-upholster the seats of 4 chairs. Again they were very creative in figuring out how to use the cloth I had, which was a little too small. The chairs look great! read more

I am moving into a new home, and needed window treatments. I asked Luis and Laura to make some custom shades, drapes, blinds, bench cushions and pillows, and a couple of valences. The effect is, frankly, stunning. They were amazing, and I could not be happier with the results. The whole family company is professional, reliable, and expert at their craft. Indeed, they are craftsmen, and I highly recommend calling them if you need some window treatments. They installed the finished products with a quiet efficiency, and after a week, I am as thrilled as the day they put them in. The seat cushions in particular were highly customized and remarkably well engineered. Zippered coverings and single-piece bench style (one in an L shape, the other in a U). read more

I have been looking for motorized roller shades for my apartment for some time now and probably got at least 10 quotes. They were anywhere from $1300 to $3000, and dealt with a lot of bait and switch. Ironically everyone was selling the exact same things in the same colors. Luis and Oscar were great. They were quick to respond, showed up on time, gave me the best quote. They also were able to order my custom shades and install them in about a week. Every other place I spoke to said they would take 3 to 4 weeks. I would definitely recommend these guys. read more
