Scariano provided me a date by which they would have the quote. And missed it. They missed the second date they gave me. When they emailed that they were going to miss the third date which they had provided for the quote, I responded gently voicing concern about "expectation setting". In response I received an aggressive phone call from Frank Scariano firing me as his firm could not work with a client like me. With unnecessary further aggression, he went on to say that he looked forward to driving by the house to see how the project was progressing. By that time--weeks since our initial contact--the other contractor from whom I did have a prompt quote was booked and could not take it on. I don't know what Scariano's work is like--we never got that far. It appeared from the quote process that they are seeking clients who will take what Scariano gives when they give it, at their price and without asking questions. We are not that sort of client but got the project done anyhow.
