it's so Detroit! on the river, bunch of people fishing from the shore chitting and chatting and enjoying the day at Mariner Park with a playground for the little peoples right behind and nice view of the ships out front....
spent some time talking with the locals and we all had a good laugh about how fortunes change and the current reality of Chicago is twice as worse as the gob-smacked reputation of turn of the century Detroit ever was. I would totally consider retiring here except that my lovely bride isn't a fan of the coldy-cold associated with living north of Canada.
