Now ive done a bit of traveling and sometimes a place that looks great can be kinda gimmicky, so this was my fear with this location, BUT now that I have been I can promise Mystery Spot was easily my favorite part of our trip. The owner was there, she was funny and kind and very knowledgeable! Another highlight was a shock, the layout! it was so easy to walk through and get lost in each room, everything was organized and easy to look through. I can't say enough how much that helped, I hate feeling like a bull in a china shop so feeling comfortable walking around was a big factor for me. My partner and I purchased our first antique and have our eye on our next purchase here, giving us an excuse to come back to the beautiful little paradise that is Phoenicia. Thank you Mystery Spot! You all helped make our holiday extra special. Hope to see you soon!

This place is huge and has something for everyone. Be sure to visit when you have plenty of time in your schedule because it takes a while to go through everything. The staff are very friendly and do a great job of keeping the store clean an organized. Like most stores (such as this one) there are multiple sellers here, so not all the music related items, books, or items you are looking for will be in one place, regardless most items are relatively easy to find if you know what you're looking for. Some notable items include: the antique cooking knives and steels; a variety of bowie knives, sharpening stones and wood chisels; vintage door knobs; tobacco pipes; the Zenith Trans-Oceanic Radio, the Edison Amberola Cylinder Phonograph, and the Faventina Street Barrel Piano; the vintage Pier 1 haunted house cookie jar; the Southwestern Velvet Painting; the Schaefer beer wall placard lantern; the antique telephone with cloth wrapped cord; the many signed photographs of famous actors and musicians, my favorite was the Cheech and Chong one for $200; the signed Albany River Rats hocky pucks; and the massive amount of bullion, coins, and other precious metals for sale. Pricing is moderate but there are deals to be had. I highly recommend checking this store out if you are in the area.

I am no stranger to flea markets, but what I loved about this one was the friendliness of the vendors. All were welcoming and willing to strike up conversation, especially about music. A great deal of finds hide here, including vinyl, China, jewelry, gemstones, print media, art, antiques, clothing, vintage, handbags, etc. There is a little something for everyone. Overall, a very fun experience. Try it out!

Woodstock is a diverse and eclectic town but it's also famous for its Mower's Flea Market every Saturday and Sunday in a big grassy area. Hubs and I have always made it a point every time we come to Woodstock in the last 20 years, to stop here first (out of nostalgia) before making the drive down home. Quite honestly, we've scored several hand-made pieces and a vintage Dashiki hubs had found for me. Mower's is made up of several vendors all selling something different. Over the years though, the amount of vendors have dropped. And forget about COVID last year- because it didn't take place and was weird looking at vendor-less lot when we came to the area for a day trip in the Fall of '20. But alas, Mower's is back in business and we were delighted to see more vendors (almost) recently like we used to 20 years ago. You'll find antiques, memorabilia, some kitsch- the same way you'll find locally made products. The way I see it, it's a shopping haven for me. Just make sure you get here before they close for the season in November.
