Since going to this vet clinic and the Dr Phillips location, my 2 pups are healthier and happier than ever before. Especially my little chubby pup. He had a thyroid issue and they put him on thyroid medicine and diet food. In 2 months, he has lost 2 lbs. which is a lot for a small breed. Another thing I like, is they know exactly who I am when I walk in! Makes my pups and myself feel really special. I can totally tell that the Dr really cares for the well being of my pups. He's compassionate and is very thorough. Special shoutout to Morgan. She called all my previous vets to consolidate all their records. She is warm and friendly every time I come in. And she calls me to check up on my pups the day after they have a visit. She has amazing customer service skills.

Chance and Mia excited to be parents!

We had a wonderful experience with Chain of Lakes Animal Clinic. REVIEW (AS OF MAY 2026): This is a local run office, and the care and attention is clear with continued follow ups through texts and phone calls. We came to this practice after having a horrible experience at our last vet. Everyone was kind and understanding from our first visit and even more so when we brought our cat in for the last time. Exam rooms were clean, and they always had different treats to try to tempt my cat out of her carrier. Like most cats, she hated the vet, but they always tried to work around her moods. We saw a few different doctors through my kitty's time with the practice - all were fantastic and knowledgeable. They were open to discussing the pros and cons of treatment with us, as well as their honest opinion on what to do if they were in our shoes. Their technicians were stellar. Marianne and Ryan at the front desk were fantastic and very responsive. It's clear they all enjoyed caring for the animals. The last visit with my cat really stood out to me. They gave us the choices, including services hospice-like services to help with an ailing animal. There wasn't any pressure on which course to take. It ended up being my cat's choice as she crossed the rainbow bridge that night. They were there to help with the after services, and the tech helping us made the process a little easier. Thank you for all the care, attention, and love you showed my cat, one of the members of my family. Some Minor Details: - Yes, you have to pay a deposit for your first visit, but it makes sense with how flakey people can be. (The deposit was then applied to my first visit costs.) - The only quirk to the smaller practice is that their availability is limited but somehow always worked us in if there was an emergency.

Yes great vet and office. Kind to kitties. A little out of the way for us. But I like them!!read more

I have so much to say about Kirkman Road Veterinary Clinic…read more Our 6-year-old Goldendoodle, Luna, became very sick and was struggling to breathe when we brought her in. We were cared for by Dr. Collins and her assistant Grace, and I truly cannot say enough about their compassion. When we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put Luna down, they sat on the floor with us, comforted us, and showed so much kindness and love to our dog. They wrapped her paws in gauze with a small heart so we wouldn't have to see the IVs, and gently wrapped her in a blanket so I could hold her as she peacefully went to sleep. They never rushed us and supported us through every moment. Weeks later, we received a beautiful card with Luna's paw print and nose print, along with handwritten notes from the entire staff. It meant more than I can express. In one of the hardest moments of our lives, they treated us and our dog like family. That kind of compassion stays with you, and we will never forget it.

Very distressing experience during an already difficult time…read more Our dog passed away, and we clearly stated--multiple times to at least three different staff members--that only our dog and a small photograph were to be cremated. Each time, we were told "okay" and understood. However, we were later informed that the bed and blankets had also been cremated--without our authorization. When we went to pick up our dog's belongings, before we said anything, a staff member stated that we had requested this, which is not accurate. All we want is to receive all of our dog's cremated remains. If additional items were cremated with her, we expect all resulting ashes to be returned to us in full. This situation reflects a serious breakdown in communication and documentation, and it has been deeply upsetting for our family.

Well this pains me to write this review but right is right and wrong is just wrong…read more.. We have followed Luvncares advise for all of our animals for meds, surgery, routine care etc. including to purchase a Free Style Libre for our diabetic cat. We did not ask for this device meaning this was advised from the Vet. Vet said this would be best instead of poking our cat to monitor his blood. We picked up the 2 sensors from Publix for $80. We had Luvncare install the sensor for $40 to be sure it was done correctly, although Vet said we could do it ourselves. The sensor was giving issues from day one. On day 8 the sensor stopped working all together. It is supposed to work for 14 days. My BF called Freestlye but they would not warranty the item since it was used on an animal. I called Freestyle the next day and got the exact same answer from a different rep. Rep said the FDA has not approved the unit in animals and to take up with our vet. So we did... since LUVNCARE is prescribing a device in a way the company will not guarantee we felt they should be responsible to replace the device. We didn't think it's not our responsibility to check up on our vet. The vet DIDN'T know the FDA does not approve the unit which is alarming. We trusted Luvncare for many surgeries all our pets care etc. We are talking about $40 which clearly after the thousands of dollars we spent just in the last month, never mind the money since we started there - $40 is really nothing to us. This is about accountability. We feel Luvncare should have advised us it's not authorized in pets and let us make that decision- instead they represented the unit as ok. Why should a patient have to think to ask the vet if they will have a warranty on a sensor the vet is prescribing? Long story short... We respectfully asked for 2nd sensor that came in pack to be installed for free and a $40 credit. Vet installed 2nd sensor for free. REFUSED to give us a $40 credit for bad sensor. We wasted 90 minutes on phone with Freestyle and felt this could have been avoided had they been upfront so $40 for 90 minutes of our time was not being unreasonable... Worst business decision I've ever seen from any business in my ENTIRE LIFE. We understand the sensor not working was not their fault but if they are going to use something off label, be open about it. We trusted Luvncare and were very happy until this last visit but if they don't stand behind their decisions, sadly we can no longer recommend them. We had wrote several great reviews on multiple channels to help them as I had seen multiple bad reviews. Now sadly we will be posting our unfortunate experience so others know to steer clear of this practice. Clearly $40 was more important than our business. Take your business to a vet who is honest and accountable with what they prescribe...

I do not recommend this vet clinic and honestly I'm very concerned about the care and communication…read morehere. During a visit for my 11-year-old dog, I was by Dr. MacDonald that my dog has liver cancer with multiple tumors, congestive heart failure and that euthanasia should be considered. No biopsy or referral to a specialist was offered and I was not shown or walked through the ultrasound results. I was told no follow-up appointments were needed and was given euthanasia pamphlets. I left completely devastated. After the visit, I called the clinic requesting my dog's records. Because the file is under another name, communication had to go through that person. When we received the records, they did not mention cancer or the ultrasound findings. We were initially told the ultrasound recordings were not available. I had to request the records again through email and specifically ask for the ultrasound findings. Eventually, we received notes referencing a "suspected" liver or splenic mass and stating that my dog was vomiting which was not true. The notes also mentioned seeing a specialist if interested but this was never discussed during the visit. I also had major difficulties with my dog's heart medication. I was told that refills typically take 24 to 48 hours and that heart medications are usually expedited. Since refills cannot be processed over the weekend, we had to wait until Monday to call. We emphasized that this was a heart-related medication, were told the request would be expedited and submitted the request on 12/22 around 8:15 a.m. It took two days and a call from the office /practice manager before we could pick up her medication on Christmas Eve. Because of the delay, we had to go to VEG to get my dog's medication and she was in distress. Since starting the treatment plan we had to request because we did not agree to euthanasia, my dog has been doing great. She is eating, drinking, playing and going to the bathroom normally. We were referred to an internal medicine specialist and a cardiologist by another vet for a second opinion. The internal medicine specialist confirmed that my dog does NOT have cancer and walked us through each ultrasound finding step by step. We also have an upcoming appointment with the cardiologist. Our experience highlighted serious concerns. The first suggestion was euthanasia rather than further investigation. No referrals or second opinions were offered. Communication around records and critical medication was slow and inconsistent. While the staff may have had good intentions, this experience has been distressing and costly. My dog is doing well thanks to proper follow-up care but I hope the clinic takes steps to prevent similar situations for other pet owners.

REVIEW DATE: 1/22/24…read more TLDR: Take your furry family members elsewhere. This place has gone downhill, and I won't be coming back after bringing my two cats and my mother-in-law's cat here for over a decade. Please note, I RARELY write bad reviews, but after the last three months, I'm writing this review of Winter Garden Animal Hospital. THE REVIEW: My husband brought my 14 year old cat in for a routine follow-up. He was asked about labs, including a more expensive comprehensive blood test for geriatric cats. My husband declined since our cat had been doing alright. He was losing weight, but we figured it was due to age. This was the Monday after Thanksgiving. We never got lab results back, and we never heard back from the vet. In our mind (living with a newborn baby of our own), no news was good news. Well, that turned out to be a big mistake. Fast forward several weeks later ... Our cat was not eating and looked sick. We scheduled an appointment. When I called for the appointment, I asked for a copy of the labs. I didn't get them. So I called again, and again, I did not get them. I took him to the vet on Friday, and by this point, he was extremely sick. Oh, by the way, they tried to CANCEL my appointment 30 minutes before it was scheduled. (Their excuse was continuity of care. That's fine except they should have planned it when I was scheduling - not 30 minutes before.) We didn't know what was going on with my cat. It turns out he was in end-stage kidney disease. He had been on a steroid for inflammation, which likely accelerated the kidney disease progression. I asked to speak with the office manager, Nicole, in between the vet tech coming in/out. Nicole told me that they hadn't gotten the lab results until the day before the visit. She also kept going back to the fact that the vet was concerned by the initial labs (which she had also said they hadn't gotten earlier in this conversation) and asked to run the expensive labs we had declined. However, I think the most important point of this is, which Nicole later admitted, how unacceptable it was that we were not informed about the abnormal lab results. This was egregious in my mind. We trust that the practice would look out for our furry family members. When the vet tech came back in, I asked to see the paper chart. I went over the results with the vet. I am not a doctor... I am not a vet. But when I saw his lab results, everything was abnormal. My cat's comprehensive lab results came back THE DAY AFTER the sample was sent to the lab. So his kidney had been in decline for two weeks, and nothing was done to tell us. At this point, I knew how dire the situation was, but I had hope. I understood that there was no transplant for cats. They recommended starting IV fluids and monitoring him overnight. We followed their advice because what else could we do. But I asked to speak with Nicole again. She then said that she relied on what the vet staff had said to her about the labs. Nicole promised me that she'd look into it. The end of our story at this practice is that we said goodbye to our cat the next day. Why we are chosing to move on is because of the failures that led up to this. Imagine my surprise when I get a call from the office... only to tell me that my cat's remains were there. I never got a call from the office manager who had told me that she'd look into it. It has been a month. I've been patient and waited until after the holidays. I've asked to speak with her twice, but my calls have gone unanswered (ten days in between). When I went in to pick up my cat's paw print, I asked about my other cat's lab results. Well, they couldn't find her chart. They had to print out the electronic copy. (Think about it, they have two avenues to get labs? Fax and electronically? There's just no excuse for what happened.) Once upon a time, I would have recommended this practice in a heartbeat. But now, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. At the end of my time here, I felt like this was just a dollar sign for them to make money off of. I will say someone complimented Missy, and she was the only one to follow up with what she promised (getting me an answer to a diet question for my other cat).
