I would say out of all the farmers markets I have been to this one seems to get the most crowded around 10 AM.

We ended up buying from multiple stands, and will definitely return for future markets. From honey, to 3D printing, to slime, to pastries, we found a wide variety of appealing products, vendors and people. I've always been a fan of supporting small businesses so it's great to see and hear from a lot of local ones. Looking forward to returning and seeing what is on offer the next Sunday we attend. There are a ton of places! Inside and outside, there are plenty of tables and high tops to sit at. There is a lot of grassy areas outside for kids to run around as well. The best part of Plant Street is that everyone in your party can get something different but all sit together and enjoy each other's company. MY wife and I tend to do this alot. We order smaller things from a few booths and then share everything. During the weekends and then also throughout the year, Plant Street has events such as Octoberfest, pet adoption and live singers, to name a few. This usually will bring more people here and to be honest, parking can be tough. Their private parking lot is not incredibly large and also shares with a few restaurants across from them, not located inside the market. My wife and I try to go early when we visit. We want a table to sit down, even though you can easily walk around with your food. If you cannot find parking, there is a parking garage which will be a slight walk over. The parking garage is closer to where the farmer's market is. Everyone who works at the different vendors are always very nice. I believe they are Crooked Can employees, but people will walk around picking up your beer glasses for you. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. They are priced appropriate for what you get. I ended up having a little cheat day and enjoyed a delicious soft serve with fresh strawberries -- it was so good! The staff members were very friendly, especially the cashier who helped me at the register. Her smile felt so genuine, and it honestly made me want to come back again. I even decided to pick up some peanut butter while I was there. The store was very clean and well organized, which made shopping comfortable and enjoyable. I shop at other grocery stores too, but this place is definitely becoming one of my favorites. You can also bring your own reusable bags, which is a nice bonus. As we drove into the area, we could see the tents and lights and it was obvious from the getgo that this was going to be a serious market. There was plenty of space to park, and all close to the market. We arrived about 10 minutes after it opened and it was already busy with customers. There were a lot of vendors, from face painting to candied almonds to all the different salsas, barbecue sauces, and jewelry; there were a few food vendors, I thought there would be more, but hey, it's the first one. They Apopka Police Department had a demonstration of their K9 unit which was awesome! My favorite thing, though, was the fact that they had produce- which is the whole point of a farmers market in the first place! So many fruits and vegetables, and really good prices, cheaper than any of the local grocery stores. Plus, they had a fresh seafood dealer, and talk about fresh- I just wish you could eat it there- but I purchased some Stone Crab Claws and took them home and they were delicious! For the first one, I was very impressed, and I am sure it will even get better from here. I highly suggest you check it out, every Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30!

House of Jerk has some really unique jerky flavors that my husband and I love. They have a 9 for $20 deal on jerky. A new spot I tried recently was Soulful Sazon. Definitely get their chicken pinchos and seafood egg rolls- yum! Don't forget to stop by and get a fresh coconut water. Very hydrating on a hot day!

We were on our way to family in Ocala early in the morn when i knew it was time to stop for some coffee(the wife doesnt do wel without her java). I did a quick search for a spot, and saw a dunkin nearby. I exited the highway and headed that way. as I got closer I grinned. I had never been to the Villages. My gal didn't know what that was so as we pulled up and parked she said, "what town is this". I just played dumb. We walked into the Brownwood square and I had to tell her. She really didn't know much about the Villages so I filled her in. for my first impression it was great. The farmers market wrapped around the square and trickled out to the side streets some as well. They had the usual thing you would hope for like produce and pieces of art made by locals. But it had other things you dotn see often like some more quirky artisans, multiple flower and plant booths, empanadas, and the one that hooked me, a both that had all kind of mushrooms to eat. We swing by here about once a month for the farmers market, and enjoy it every time.

It's a fantastic program and though I love an IRL farmer's market, I don't have the ability to go weekly. The delivery fee is under $10 and so far every week has provided plenty of produce that has challenged me to cook more and eat healthy, farm fresh veggies! Highly recommend checking out their CSA program and trying it out. You can skip weeks, cancel, add one-time items (like amish butter!!), etc very easily from the website.
