They had an excellent Halloween party & quick Maintence follow up. The staff is pretty friendly and they have thorough services. There is a dog park and giant playground right next to the community pool with tennis courts and a basketball court. Even the smaller house we live in near the giant major houses on Infantry Post still have five bedrooms and a big basement. However my main issue has always been and will continue to be clean water. I'm very concerned about obtaining lead free water in Infantry Post & housings avoidance of this serious & avoidable issue. And yes I've provided scientific proof in writing & sent it up my chain of command (and spoken with our General at a Town Hall.) My husband is a chef and homebrewer so regularly tests the water and sent it off post for $25 for posts where it comes back positive for lead. Several years the post just avoided getting the water tested and when they did their test differs greatly from our results. It would cost about $1000 per house on infantry post to put a proper filtration system on the pipes leading into the house so that this would not be a concern for military families and children. I just feel ashamed that they make so many much money off military families and refuse to provide lead free water that could cause long-term medical damage to our children. It's just not right. It's Not right for families in Flint Michigan & it's definitely not right for military families who are already sacrifice so much. I arranged two meetings with housing managers on this topic & it felt like they blew it off rescheduling. They knew I would be deploying and probably thought I would not follow through. 2 meetings were before Pandemic. I hope they make this right. We are ready we expand a great deal of time money and resources each month getting fresh clean drinking water for our family. Our kids cannot brush their teeth with the water and probably really shouldn't even be showering in the water due to the lead in the steam. My husband's brother got lead poisoning from a steam humidifier when he was young in a similarly early old house. I hope they Add filtration systems to the pipes leading into the house that Prevent lead poisoning. We have considered paying the money to add our own but then what about the other families? I know several military families on post have considered submitting articles to local newspapers. Then maybe some thing will be done.

When we walked in, I see the pictures of popular artists and performers who had been at this place posted at its reception wall. We happened to catch a nice band playing country songs that we liked on our visit. It would be nice if they have open up the dance floor but I guess it's only during nighttime visit that they do that. You could place an order of drinks or an appetizer while watching the show. Or if you feel like staying in the bar, where you could still hear the band , you are welcome to do so . How cool is that ? The location is in a busy community street and popular small town. It's worth swinging by during a visit in this area.

A true Texas dance hall, perfect for two-stepping and soaking in the culture. Even during the day, sitting outside with a beer offers a great experience. Staff are efficient, accommodating, and kind. as for cleanliness, the venue is kept spotless. There are a few things to consider: It gets extremely hot and sweaty inside, especially during shows. The venue is very popular, so expect large crowds and standing room only for many shows. While cards are accepted, having cash for an ATM across the street is useful. In terms of parking, the surrounding Gruene Historic District is busy, so it might be a little bit challenging. Overall experience: It's considered more than just a venue; it's an experience. Go early for the daytime feel or brace for heat and crowds for the legendary live shows inside, but either way, it's a cornerstone of Texas music history.

There are lots of nice antique stores and restaurants along the main street of this town. It's home to the Olmos Circle, which is an eyesore of a turnabout in the middle of McCullough and Olmos. It used to be a fountain, but that plan nearly turned deadly several times. The city has its own fire department, trash pickup, city government, and police department. The new city hall was paid for by speeding tickets. Beware driving down McCullough. The speed limit is 30, and they'll bust you for doing a mile over it. In the side streets, speed limit is now 25! They'll get you- so just watch out! It's a beautiful neighborhood with sprawling mansions and giant lots, and makes a great neighborhood to go jogging in.

You can drive straight down McCullough Ave and be in the heart of Olmos Park. (Be care of the posted speed limit signs). There is a roundabout circle on McCullough Ave. that was probably designed for when the city first came about. It seems out of place now in modern times. They probably had in mind a constant flow of traffic without having people to stop. Not a lot of people know how to use these things these days. Just slow down into the circle, look left and yield. There's plenty of little boutique shops that dot this small "city" and a park but that's about it. Enjoy your day!
