Which was more expensive than any other taxi we took while in Winchester for half the distance. He kept saying it was a minimum fare, even after I told him we'd taken other taxis that we had paid less for. He also refused to take us for the first few minutes he arrived. He told me that there was no way he could take our two suitcases and carry on sized bag. I should have called for a larger car. It was a full size Mercedes sedan - I own a VW bettle and can fit those 3 cases in the trunk. After trying to show him how they could fit - but him not letting me touch or arrange any of our bags - he finally was able to get them in. But still spent the 3 minute drive explaining that I was wrong and ordered the wrong size car. Ick such an awful experience and rip off.. I wished we had walked. Call any other taxi service in Winchester. This is not worth it.

On the day of our wedding a white taxi van with Union Jack seats showed up. The driver was far from sympathetic, even laughing, and the woman who runs the specialty service said the dispatcher was on a bathroom break and all calls went to an automated system. We did not call we booked in advance and had a confirmation number and had called the day before to double check. It was our wedding day. In an email reply from the woman in charge she said she was offended at my email. In other cities and villages this would have been handled much differently. The customer is not important to this business so look elsewhere.

We booked a car at 11.30am for me, the bride to get to the church. Having walked out to the car park at 11.30am on the dot we were not met with the car waiting as expected although we had been informed it would be at least 5 minutes early to be safe. On making a phone call we were told the driver was a 'FEW MINUTES AWAY'. Ten minutes later, another phone and again the same response, 'a few minutes'. THIS WAS A LIE after 35 minutes of standing and waiting, crying in a car park, no car turned up and we had to ask someone in the hotel to give me a lift to the church so I wouldn't miss my own wedding. Many phone calls were made in which the operator could have said 'the driver forgot' in which case we would have immediately made other arrangements and not been forced to be late for my own wedding due to the fault and lies of 'Wessex Cars'. I was very late which meant we couldn't take photos outside owing the wedding following us. When I made a complaint and asked for my money back I was told he was late because the 'ribbons was too short for his car' and I had made him wait 15 minutes on the return journey which 'as a kind gesture from Wessex Cars we had also not charged you for that service'. APPALLING SERVICE AWFUL STAFF NO-ONE SHOULD MAKE YOU CRY ON YOUR WEDDING DAY, LEAST OF ALL A TAXI DRIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We sailed on Celebrity Apex on a Norwegian fjords cruise two weeks ago. The original cruise…read moreterminal was City Center terminal however it was subsequently moved over to Horizon a few days before we were set to sail. It was a non issue as both terminals are nearby to each other. The Horizon cruise terminal is the newer one of the two. We pulled our 24 inch luggage over from a nearby hotel. Took about 15 minutes. We had planned to walk our luggage onto the ship. But then a cruise terminal worker suggested we not as the luggage probably couldn't fit onto the X-ray conveyor belt. We checked the luggage instead. Easy peasy as they tagged the luggage right then and there. It was a seamless process as we checked in using Celebrity's app while home. At the cruise terminal we showed our passports with the app and we're allowed to board. Typically we'll ask for early boarding to take advantage of the lunch buffet onboard. We showed up at 11:20am with a 11:30am embarkation. The day we disembarked was just as seamless. We walked off the ship with our luggage. Thank goodness it was at a downhill slant all the way down into the cruise terminal. A cruise employee acted as the traffic controller instructing passengers where to go depending on your previously transportation arrangements. We met our private transport past the pedestrian crossing. In and out within 10-15 minutes. Back to London for a post stay. Took about 1 hour 50 minutes due to traffic.

There were signs for taxis, shuttles, ride shares & tours. The taxi line moved very quickly, we were in our cab in about 5 minutes. The ride to the station was in under :10. We passed several walkers pushing one bag on wheels the 1 flat mile route.
