He too is knowledgeable and caring. He has gone at length to assist me with my chronic spine condition and resolving my pain. Now, as far as staff goes, all of the medical assistants have been great. Glynnis is wonderful and always very helpful. Allison and Rachael are great too!

Was just a routine check-up for me and was convinced I needed blood work done. After one bill for 240$ and then another for 110$. I never got feed back or anything from the doc. Upon calling myself ( 5 days after I was told they would call) I was told that she was busy but the receptionist "thought the charts looked okay". The doctor on the other hand, made me feel disgusting. She asked about my sexual history in great detail. Then she wanted to get a sample of some discharge I was having and she completely violated me. She was so judgmental and made me feel worse then I did when I came in. I will never go to this hospital again.

It is the only facility within miles and we have used it several times. My recommendation is to keep driving. Go to Chattanooga or Nashville for anything other than a cut. I am ashamed of Sewanee for tolerating the level and kind of treatment that is performed here. Most of the nursing staff are cold and defensive. Most of the employees are looking at a computer or phone screen when you enter the hospital. It is only after you excuse yourself that someone even seems the least bit concerned with your presence. The first thing that you smell when you enter the hospital is the grease from the fryers in the cafeteria. The only REAL redeeming quality for this place is the Physical/Occupational Therapy Team - they are incredible - squeezed into a tiny area, this team goes beyond expectations for their clients. If the administration at LifePoint really does caare, they'll do something about this place. And they wonder why the local residents in Sewanee don't use it?...maybe they should visit sometime undercover.
