The building used to be an old church, so I really admired the beautiful stained glass windows and the preserved architectural details. It still carries that subtle sacred and holy vibes. It's now a marketplace with an open space filled with sofas, benches, chairs, tables, coffee shop, tattoo shop, plant store from what I recalled. People can rent out the space to hold social / community events there, too. I ended up staying for a few hours after visiting the bookstore to participate in an arts+craft activity. I saw people ordering coffee and spending some time there to read &/or socialize. Parking can be found in the streets. Free Saturday and Sunday, but of course, suggest checking the sign. Next time, I'll come back to check out other stores and the upper level.

Salt Mine Workspace…read more Salt Mine has been an incredible workspace experience! The staff is friendly, responsive, and genuinely cares about creating a great atmosphere for everyone. The community is one of the best parts -- there's a great mix of creative professionals, entrepreneurs, and remote workers, which makes collaboration and networking easy and natural. The meeting rooms are well-equipped, the Wi-Fi is fast, and the food station is always stocked and inviting. We've owned our Sego home for about a year, and nearly all of that year has gone to chasing…read morerepairs. Some of the problems were there on day one. Many repair appointments were no-shows, and we lost a lot of hours waiting. We saw trouble before closing. At our pre-closing walkthrough, fewer than half of the items we'd flagged had been fixed. We pushed closing back because of it, and some items still weren't done when we signed. After closing, the superintendent seemed surprised we'd closed at all, and the house clearly hadn't been cleaned before we moved in. Here's what we've dealt with since: water coming through the ceiling and walls and ruining furniture; leaky doors because the storm doors were never installed; most interior doors needing rework just to latch; a heater vent left open under the hardwood (since fixed); wall sections that were never painted; damaged cabinets and cracked shelves; a faulty thermostat; a bent window well that took several tries to fix; and landscaping that wasn't properly replaced after their crews worked on it. The concrete has been the worst part. They couldn't get the big stains out, so they painted over them. The painted surface now holds dirt and scratches easily. The concrete also cracked, and the cracks keep growing. Their repair attempt made it worse, and now the whole thing has to be replaced. If you're looking at Sego, go in with your eyes open and get everything in writing.
