Cuong is a great pickleball coach! I'd definitely recommend him. He's patient, and knows how to progressively help you level up your game!

I never received a response, so I decided not to sign up and risk it. A couple of months later some other friends were signing up so I joined with them. We played the advanced beginner league which had a pretty wide array of skill levels playing. The fun of a ladder league is that after the first session you are playing with people at about your level, so you can have some very fun and challenging games. The lady who was running our league was very nice and created a fun environment for our play. We did end up getting rained out for two sessions, and they extended the league by two weeks to make up for it. However, the owners didn't contact everyone in the group to let us know about the cancellation, so both times people showed up expecting the league only to find it had been cancelled that week. The rankings which were uploaded to the website weekly were also wrong the second week and never uploaded the third week, so it was hard to track our progress. The courts are permanent and in good condition, so they were nice to play on and we made some new friends. Overall it was a fun experience, but the administration of the league really a lot of room for improvement.

Don't expect anyone to be there on time! The last 3-4 weeks, consistently 10-20 minutes late (and NO, they don't adjust the time you reserved your court!). For the last year (maybe even longer), the back courts 19, 20, 21 have been reserved for instruction. This past week, our group had been warming up on courts 13-15 (after getting on the courts after 0830). Ten minutes later, Coach Shelly comes over and tells us we have to move because her classes take priority and her reserved courts are wet at the baseline, but we can play on them!! What a joke for a "professional" instructor! For me, this is the last straw! The management of these courts, is incompetent, has no professionalism and should be replaced. Much better courts and people and teaching pros at a facility very close by; sorry but you will have to find them on your own, courts are too crowded! ;-) Too bad these courts are being ruined by Coach Shelly and whomever else is in charge!

The moment…read moreyou walk into Los Cab, it feels like you stepped back into the 1980s -- and not in a charming nostalgic way. The facilities are incredibly dated, tired, and poorly maintained. The locker room and shower facilities are especially gross. No towels, no bath products, nothing complimentary. You have to bring everything yourself -- even your own lock for the lockers unless you want to pay extra for one that already has a lock attached. For the membership prices they charge, that's ridiculous. The gym/workout area feels like an old budget fitness center from decades ago. Ancient equipment, outdated layout, and just an overall neglected feel. The entire club is in desperate need of a renovation. And if you're joining primarily for tennis, look elsewhere. Tennis clearly takes a backseat now because the club is dominated by pickleball courts. If you're a true tennis player, the nonstop loud popping noise from pickleball paddles will drive you insane. To make things worse, they don't even have a proper app for court reservations. In 2026, you still have to CALL IN to reserve a court like it's 1995. There are far better tennis clubs in Orange County that actually invest in their facilities and tennis programs.

I appreciate how large this space is and everything is neatly organized and you know where to find all the items for various activities, sports and weather! Tons of brands and selections. I especially appreciate the sports basementeees discounts especially on yoga clothes or other athleisure wear. I also really like that if for some reason something isn't working out with the item I purchase, I know I can bring it back in (within reason and appropriate timeframe!). The value of items here are top notch and I'm always happy to support this retailer. So glad to have one in Orange County! Definitely a great place to look for high quality, durable and affordable clothing and accessories - perfect for any adventure!

We've been here so many times that I finally had to leave a review--especially for Jesus (pronounced just like the name in the Bible). This place is HUGE! They have everything--bikes, sports apparel, camping gear, rentals, and more. Plenty of parking, conveniently located right off the 405, they price match, and the membership is actually worth asking about. I'm usually not a membership person, but we come here so often that it pays for itself. Jesus is amazing. We brought in my son's Co-op DRT 3.3 for what we thought would be "just brakes." It turned into new brake pads, a chain, spoke alignment, shock adjustment...you know, the full bike spa treatment. (Part of it was his---well...thanks to my son's curiosity and love of "tinkering.) Even though we picked up the bike right at closing time, Jesus never rushed us. He patiently explained every repair, answered all of our questions, and even taught my 14-year-old how to better maintain his bike. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and enjoys encouraging young riders. Fast turnaround, fair prices, great service, and no long waits like we've experienced elsewhere. We're customers for life. Thanks, Jesus and the Sports Basement team, for keeping both my son--and his bike--on the trails!

This park is open daily from 5 am to 10 pm and home to tennis enthusiasts, racquetball lovers, softball fans, basketball players, recent pickleball fanatics and families out for a picnic and fun- the grass is plush and green and there is plenty of shade. You can bring your coolers, chairs and tents. I have seen catering trucks drive in right by the courts. This year we have a DJ who will be adding some spice and rhythm to the forehand and backhand volleys. So boomboxes and music systems are permitted. There are 60 free parking spaces and plenty of additional street parking. The 8 three wall racquetball and handball courts are well maintained and swept. The grounds are taken care of as well with ample garbage cans distributed strategically. The trash is picked up regularly. The men's and ladies rest rooms are separate, always open and well maintained. There is also a small branch of a library with limited hours with computers and books located on the edge of the park.

The new shower products are an upgrade from the old ones. The reason my rating is low; The main issue I have here is that I frequently see people taking selfies in the locker room. I used to complain about it, but management doesn't seem to do anything. I get an email that it's serious or a phone call and I appreciate it, but nothing seems to happen. Just today, I went through the locker room to go to the party that the gym was having, and I saw a girl taking selfies in the locker room. Other women were changing there, so it wasn't like she was all alone. It's super easy to get photos of people changing in the background. I have easily seen people taking selfies in the locker room at least a dozen of times in the last couple years. We change there. We don't have our clothes on. Why is it okay to take a photo? Even if you aren't intending to photograph others, which most people aren't, people can easily show up in the background. It makes me so uncomfortable. I avoid changing in the locker room now, or if I do, I try to hide in the back. Changing in the bathroom stalls isn't easy because things can fall into the toilet and changing in the shower is wet and the showers sometimes get crowded. It has decreased how much I value this gym, and I am hesitant to recommend it to others. I pay a lot for the gym and amenities, but if I have to constantly look over my shoulder, it ruins the experience. And when I do shower here, I have to bring clothes I can immediately change into in the shower to minimize walking around undressed in case someone decides to take a selfie and I happen to be in the reflection in the mirror. This also limits my ability to do stuff in the locker room like put lotion on. If I complain, I feel l get labeled as a "Karen". Staff doesn't seem to care. People get upset if you talk to them, and I shouldn't have to. I get emails from management that they take this seriously, but if they did they could at least put prominent signs on the mirrors in the locker rooms or have staff members remind women in the locker room not to take photos.
