I was unfortunate enough to listen to my real estate agent and hired this outfit to paint the interior of my new home, built in '76. Zayomara came and gave me an estimate, walked the house and explained all that had to be done, tear down wall paper, sand, prime and then paint. She gave me an estimate that broke down labor and painting supplies. I chose to purchase the paint for the project, and by doing so, saved myself $800.00. Hmmm. I saw some issues during the process, such that I was told after the painting had begun that I would have to buy oil based paint for my doors because the primer would not stick. The guy at the paint store told me that if the painter tried to paint over the latex primer with oil based paint, I was going to have a botched job. So, I bought oil based primer AND oil based paint. She argued with me and told me that she did not have to use oil based primer, but I had her do it anyway. Cut corners. She lightly sanded the walls, so once painted, the walls looked stippledand were very rough. Cut corners. They patched some holes and then painted, no primer, cut corners, and ofcourse the paint simply bubbled up. There wer places that were not patched at all and some that were patched but not sanded. They used latex paint in some places, oil based paint in others (different sheen to oil based), a door would have different finishes on each side. The texture between wall paint around doors and windows and the spray (yes, they use sprayers) was terrible, the first thing that you noticed walking into the room. You could see where they did not clean dust off of the ceiling, doors, they just painted over it. What a mess. You know your paint job is only as good as the preparation. I called her and her crew back to fix what was wrong and she insulted me, telling me that I was crazy. I refused to pay her anything until it was redone. She brought her crew back in a few days later, they sanded and painted with rollers, repainted the ceilings, repainted the doors, baseboards, finished painting windows that they had not completed. One of her crew members disrespected me, swearing at me when I pointed out that they painted over sheet rock putty that had not dried, and I called her (she was not onsight) to come and have him leave my home. She got there and called me crazy when she thought I was out of earshot. I still have to scrape away all the wall putty that they left on my bathroom sink (why?), the paint off of my window glass, my bathroom tile, and deal with drips that they refused to fix, but I just wanted them out of my house. The motto here is cut corners. Folks, you do not want someone to cut corners when you are going to live in a home. What you want is to love walking into your sanctuary. My advice would be to pass over this business. I should have gone with the Painting Group. read more
