Got to the location where we were supposed to meet on time and she texted that she was running out to the gas station and would be back soon. Waited in the parking lot for 30 minutes for her to let me know she was back but she never did. Thankfully I drove to a different parking lot and saw the van. Texted her that we were outside of the van and she comes out 5 minutes later with a terrible attitude towards me. I could hear several dogs in the van which I was not aware of and would not of been okay with if I know considering I have a cat. She said if I was uncomfortable I could either comeback in 30 minutes which did not work with my schedule or she couldn't see me today. Moral of the story I absolutely do not recommend. Look elsewhere for grooming services.

I have been coming here for 5 years, to span two different dogs and many different dog and cat friends. While a little pricier than other options in the area, this pet store is stocked with items that are well vetted and understood by the owners and employees personally. Every employee can provide genuine input and assistance into any pet related needs whether it's food, treats, harnesses or clothing, toys, etc. There are many familiar faces that have stayed working here over the years, which is always a plus. I also love what they do for the community, helping police dogs and sponsoring little events, such as around the holidays where they give free treats and coupons or other items. Follow their social media to stay up to date! There is a bath you can use (I haven't used it yet but have almost needed to so many times) where they provide all the materials and do the clean up. It's on a first come first serve basis, but you can always call to gauge how busy it is. Student discounts offered only on certain days. Not best budget for broke students but the assurance I have with the quality of the items (esp food) I'm buying for my dog is worth it.

A week before coming up, I receive an email telling me they could not honor my appointments bc my groomer had left. They would not tell me where she went, First of all, I didnt have one particular groomer. I used whomever was available bc the were all good. Secondly, It was way too late to find another groomer for this season bc they were all booked up and not taking any new clients. My rating of this place has gone from 5 to 0. I understand loosing employees, but it is simply unacceptable to cancel an entire season of appointments at the last minute and offer nothing to help out I called 3 times and never even got the courtesy of a rerurn call. My rental was not conducive to winter time dog bathing. Thankfully I found the wash n waggin van while exploring Boone. I jotted the number down and gave them a call. I believe they serve watauga and ashe counties. Norma answered right away, we set up a time and she called when she was on her way. My two pups are big dogs and Norma greeted them enthusiastically. She plugged in to my house and hustled the dirty ones into her mobile salon (van) and I made a quick trip to the store. When I returned, they were just finishing up. The dogs looked and smelled incredible. Their coats really shine! They've also stayed stink free for longer than at home baths. Norma did a great job, was professional and friendly, has a great dog side manner and I'm so glad I found her. The long trip back to California will be much more pleasant.

The best sign is that Jake does not run and hide when she drives up in the yard. He is not the least bit anxious with her and that is a sign that she is gentle and really good with dogs. Her cost is about $10 more than some other groomers in town but it is worth the cost because I have a home-based business and can keep on working while Jake gets his hair cut. Our daughter works at the Boone Animal Hospital and Norma has a very good reputation for quality cuts and being really good with dogs with the folks who work there and their customers.
