Chris and Nick were kind, patient, and spent a great deal of time looking at my vehicle with me. They didn't have a "salesy" tactic that we all dread when going to a body shop. I drive a 2016 Ford Fusion that I bought brand new. Unfortunately, a leak in my trunk caused my trunk and back seats to flood with water as it rained heavy the night before. Before agreeing to any work, they refereed me back to the Ford dealership to see if i could get the issue fixed under warranty. Chris and Nick were looking out for my interest and I appreciate that. I went to the Ford dealership hoping they could help, considering the issue isn't a result of an accident. My mileage was 36,020 on my odometer. Ford told me there is nothing they could do under warranty because I was over 36,000 miles. ONLY 20 miles over! They wanted to charge an egregious labor price so I left. I returned to Specialty Paint & Body after leaving Ford upset. While visiting Specialty Paint & Body and working with Chris and Nick, I was treated like a friend. We were able to quickly diagnose the leak and they were able to fix it. The attention to detail and customer service that I experienced was non-comparable to any body shop I have ever been to in the past. I will absolutely be coming back for all my body shop needs. If my car broke down in front of Japanese Motor Works I would push it to the nearest Honda…read moredealership to be repaired. Japanese Motor Works are incompetent and dishonest. They will tell you they have identified the problem with your car and how to solve it, yet after they have implemented their solution they will inform you it did not solve the problem but they will still charge you for it. You still need your car repaired so now you are trapped, next they will pacify you by assuring you this time they have definitely identified the problem and how to solve it, so you give them the go ahead and cross your fingers. A few days later you will receive another call informing you their new solution did not solve the problem either but they will still charge you for that too. They will drag this process out for weeks and squeeze you for 5 to 10 times the amount of their original quote. I am not the only person to have this experience with Japanese Motor Works, they are notorious for it, ask around and see for yourself. You would think they would notice the lack of repeat customers and see it as a sign they might not be doing good business. Charging people for something that does not work should be illegal. What a pathetic way to make a living.
