We needed some trees removed, as well as some limbs which were overhanging our roof. The work was done over the weekend so that the project could be completed before a new roof was installed. We were kept updated on the progress of the project in a timely manner, and the downed trees and limbs were cleaned up and removed completely. M n S has performed work at my house for several years, and I have found the owner Mike to be…read moreunprofessional, incompetent, argumentative, and totally lacking in accountability. Cocky would also be a perfect word. Whenever there were problems, such as when he ripped up my lawn AND my neighbor's lawn, plus my step stones and driveway with his snow plow multiple times, he acted as if it were no big deal and it took months to fix. He never did restore anything to its original condition. An M n S employee backed into my expensive aluminum fencing and again, he treated it nonchalantly and took five months to replace the damaged pieces. He was advised that the house was for sale and that time was of the essence because potential buyers would be touring the property, but he didn't care. Interesting that my sprinkler system coincidentally had about the same dollar amount as the damage in repairs that year. Both he and his drivers are careless with the property that they plow and I have watched his hourly lawn workers stand idle while watching their co-workers work; but Mike does nothing to correct the situation. While plowing last night, an M n S employee backed (slammed) into my friend's van even after he blew the horn while he was in a parking lot. The co-owner of the van, his wife, is both my employee and friend. After arriving at the scene of the accident, Mike said, "That's why we have flashing lights," and he is now blaming my friend for his employee's negligence...even though the M n S employee immediately accepted blame and admitted he didn't see him before Mike got on the scene. Mike has changed his employee's story. He has hung up on both me and the couple whose van he destroyed and refuses to provide the name of his insurance company. The wife depends on this van for work, the repairs are beyond its value and it is financially impossible for them to purchase a new vehicle. Before hanging up on me, Mike shouted that he didn't have time to deal with this...that he had clients to take care of. Click. His arrogance, business ignorance and lack of compassion are astounding. Ironically, it is my friend and employee who convinced me to keep M n S on the property every time I wanted to fire him after each incident. She is the one who had to deal with him because I refused, and she always wanted to give him another chance. I am both sadden and angered that she and her husband have been treated this way. If you use this company, be prepared to possibly have it cost you money for repairs to your property, medical expenses, and possibly litigation. The problem is that the owner has an attitude and doesn't care.
