I came to Dr. Sawa after previously seeing a female doctor that made me feel uncomfortable and body cautious. I was almost 20 weeks when I decided to switch my dr and come see Dr. Sawa. He is truly an incredible dr and his staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Sawa was attentive, caring and supportive I felt very comfortable and he delivered my son feb 2021 via c-section. Being my second c-section he did an EXCELLENT job. Now we have our 3rd baby on the way and I'm so happy to know he will be my Dr again. Thank you so much to Dr. Sawa and his staff.

If I could give them a -10 I definitely would!!…read more My mom had a biopsy on 6/23, and she only received a call with the results today--because she followed up yesterday. When the doctor finally called, she Dr. D told her over the phone that she has cancer. To make things worse, my mom had a panic attack before even going into that appointment--that's how anxious she was. She sat with that fear for days, not knowing anything, because this office completely failed to follow up. When I got home and read the report myself, I saw that the pathologist called the office with the cancer diagnosis on 6/26. That means they had the results for 5 days and never contacted her. And again--she only got a call after she followed up yesterday. We were also told it would take another 7 days just to get the referral approved--for an aggressive, fast-moving form of cancer. The doctor completely downplayed it, saying, "Oh, you're fine--it's no big deal." It's not only a big deal--it's life-threatening. To top it all off, the front desk staff were completely rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. When I asked to speak with someone in charge, the manager was just as bad--unprofessional, cold, and unwilling to take any accountability. I work in healthcare, and this was one of the worst displays of medical neglect and patient treatment I've ever witnessed. I am beyond disgusted. This wasn't just poor service--it was dangerous negligence. I'm seriously considering filing a formal complaint or pursuing legal action. No one--especially someone facing a cancer diagnosis--should ever be treated this way. Ever.

I have never been so frustrated humiliated. The lady in the back office made me feel like scum instead of just telling me if my insurance didn't cover it, they would have to bill me. She told me if the insurance didn't cover it. She would come after me not only once did she say that, but twice and the second time was after she spoke with my insurance and they said it would be covered. My appointment was an hour delayed. I wanted to leave and I should have, but I really needed to see somebody. It's sad because the doctor herself was very polite to me. The nursing staff was really nice, but the front office is the reason nobody will come back to see them. The only reason I gave two stars is because the doctor seemed to be really good and it's a shame that the front office staff makes the whole office look bad

I KNEW I had a serious problem, but even with an ultrasound that showed my problem was serious, the other doctor didn't want to do anything more than give me birth control, which wouldn't have helped me at all. Dr. McCauley talked to me and reviewed my ultrasound and immediately offered me a permanent solution--a hysterectomy. He got an urgent approval from my insurance company the very next day, and surgery was scheduled and done within the week. The surgery went very well and I was home the next day. I feel better 4 days post op than I had for two years prior to the surgery!

I had a scheduled appointment but STILL waited over an hour to see the doctor. He came in, examined, said everything was cool and I left. Cut a couple weeks later when I get an invoice from this doctor for almost $90!! My statement of benefits from Blue Shield stated that they coded my literally 3-4 min appointment as "complicated office visit" (paraphrasing). These crooks charged my insurance $300 for a 3-4 minute appointment!!! Can't stand doctors who take advantage of the insurance companies doing what ever the hell they want. And everyone wonders why health insurance costs are too damn high. Crooks!

After about four months of struggling with PPD, I made the decision to pursue permanent birth control a decision I now deeply regret. I was told by Dr. Cheruba Prabakarthat my tubes could not be tied and that they had to be removed. During the consultation, she asked if I wanted more children. At the time, while clearly struggling emotionally, I said no. She stated that since I was 39, it was a good age for this procedure if I did not want more children. I understand that the decision was 100% mine, however the state of mind I was in was not capable of making a life-changing, irreversible decision. I strongly believe that when working with women -- especially postpartum women -- it is a physician's responsibility to recognize warning signs of postpartum depression and emotional distress and to implement safeguards in their practice. What I needed at that time was help and support for my PPD, not a permanent procedure that altered my body forever. Instead, the process felt quick and not thorough. There was no screening for postpartum depression, no encouragement to wait, and no discussion about how temporary emotional states can affect long-term decisions. Now, three years later, I am 42 years old and desperately want another child. Time is running out. I am now facing IVF, with no guarantee that my insurance will cover it since this is considered a decision I made for myself. My eggs are older, the odds are lower, and the emotional and financial burden is overwhelming. I wish there had been more caution, more counseling, and more time given before moving forward. I also hope that by sharing this experience, changes can be made so that another woman in a vulnerable postpartum state is not placed in this position. I am beyond sad and angry about my situation, I wish i could of tide my tubes and maybe reversal would of been an option now there is nothing absolutely nothing i can do. and time is running out.
